ALT Standards are not the starting point of successful modeling communities but the result of shared abstractions, convergent practice, and supporting software ecosystems. Whole-cell modeling is still developing these prerequisites, suggesting an evolutionary rather than prescriptive path toward standardization.

ALT The room was packed with nearly 190 people following Shayn Peirce-Cottler's keynote "From Single-Cell Decisions to Tissue-Scale Disease: A Multiscale Modeling Framework". We had many exciting speakers. The second keynote was delivered by Jason Papin "Predicting microbial metabolic function for therapeutic development". Gideon Idumah: Metabolic signatures of immune checkpoint inhibitor response in gynecologic cancers: Insights from flux balance analysis; the 2nd Poster Prize goes to Blain Bates: Data selection significantly impacts automated reconstruction of genome-scale metabolic networks; the 3rd Poster Prize goes to August George: ChatGEM: An Agentic System for In Silico Genome-Scale Metabolic Engineering.
