Sometimes I am reading about an interesting mathematical topic and my brain is exploding with the pleasure of new ideas, then I am confronted with the fact that I still can’t remember which is “concave” and which is “convex” and I am sad.

Fascinating talk yesterday by Sir Roger Penrose and @StuartHameroff on consciousness. Potential mechanism being coherent quantum vibrations in neuronal microtubules; damped by anesthesia & amplified by psychedelics. Can't say I'm fully sold yet but sure learned a lot.
My aunt & uncle got to meet the man, the myth, the legend: Alex Caruso. After being in his presence for 5 minutes my uncle regrew all his hair and my aunt won the lottery. Truly the 🐐 and deserving of all-star status #Lakers
