It's been a while but I'm back. And I'm going to be singing @LivCathedral's Lady chapel on 7th March at 6.30pm. Since T died I've been wanting to sing On Wenlock Edge. Its a piece about loss, sadness and reflection. liverpoolcathedral.org.uk/ev…

Wonderful to see @bishopSarahM raise this question in the House of Lords and reference the scheme @WeAreBCHFT has been running in #Warrington for the last 6 months in conjunction with @NHSCandM's people board.
In the Lords today @bishopSarahM asked Government what assessment they have made of the community health worker model, in relation to reducing inequality of access to primary care.

It's done. Nearly £10k (and still counting) to share between @ClaireHouse @MollyOllys and @BrainTumourOrg. A few accidents, maybe a broken bone and a mended bike. Thanks to the riders, support crew and everyone who kept on going, just like Thomas did until he couldn't.

It's begun. The bike ride through Merseyside, Shropshire and Wales in memory of Thomas. Rain is holding off for now. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

.@GlovRebecca got this prediction right ie that after a period of enforced abstinence, lots of people would go out and have sex(and pick up the odd disease whilst they were at it!). #someexpertsgetitright

Attended some teaching on #humanfactors in healthcare yesterday. I'm a big fan of this approach. But was dismayed to hear a suggestion that the Swiss cheese gruyère was invovled. No holes in gruyère, think the facilitator meant emmental! If it was gruyère we'd have no problems!

5 babies delivered today by me @LiverpoolWomens. It's always an honour to deliver someone's baby. Every parent has their own story. Joy and sadness in equal measure. Yet today has been filled with hope.

It's taken me less time to move through the junior doctor grades than it did last time I worked as a junior doctor. ST1 this morning, ST5 this afternoon and onto Consultant on Friday! Great team caring for women @LiverpoolWomens today. #JuniorDoctorsStrike

Unbelievably sensible comment from @Dr_Malte. The hard bit is implementation. Need a bit more honesty about those difficulties from suppliers #Rewired23
Such an amazing display of tech and innovation (big and small) at @DHRewired, genuinely exciting (and what a cool space) - now imagine what it’d be like if we had the same buzz for dedicated implementation capacity and expertise to make it a reality!

We talk about #makingmemories when children and babies die. There's an industry behind it - memory boxes, charms etc Also need to remember that whilst memories are great, the inability to make new ones is tough, permanent and a constant reminder of loss. @GlovRebecca

Second tip for #bereaved #Parents back at work: in answer to "have you moved on?" No, I haven't moved on. I won't be moving on. I may be accepting of my loss, but moving on has tinges of wishing to forget and that is the antithesis of what I want to do. @GlovRebecca @ClaireHouse

Back at work for over a month now. Have had wonderful support from colleagues @LiverpoolWomens @WeAreBCHFT & @kscopehealth. But not all plain sailing! So some tips for dealing with a #bereavedparent over next few days. Number 1: don't start any sentence with "at least"

Third day back at work across @WeAreBCHFT and @LiverpoolWomens.My colleagues have been wonderfully supportive. It's strange going back.T wasn't part of my work life but I miss him dropping into the home office to get things whilst trying to stay off the video!#itsthesmallthings

4 weeks since T died. Thank you for so many lovely messages. And to all at @LivCathedral and @P_G_Anderson for such a meaningful and moving service last week. We're taking in some beautiful countryside - places T loved. There's just one thing missing from this idyllic photo - T

T has left us. @GlovRebecca and I worry where he is now and wish we were there to look after him. Hopefully we will meet him again and he will have fulfilled the dreams he made for himself in this world. – at Liverpool, England

Never loved the "fighting"/"battling" cancer descriptions, maybe because we've known T was going to lose for the last 11 months, but you can see the tug of war rope between brain tumour and the fit / physiologically strong person slowly moving towards the #cancer end. @GlovRebecca – at Liverpool, England

This was us at bonfire night, but now T's not able to get a cup to his lips. The diminution of our little boy in front of me and @GlovRebecca's eyes is simply tortuous. An 11 month slow decline with its bitter end approaching. #braintumour #childhoodcancer – at Liverpool, England

Had to stop myself suggesting to a woman who was rude to me today that whoever did her lip filler should be retrained! As the gaps between T's breaths get longer,my tolerance gets shorter!Think it's part of my reaction to the unfairness of the situation he's in #anticipatorygrief – at Liverpool, England
