I think the criticism of Minus Zero has become exaggerated. I do agree that while the human drama is good it could have used some fat trimming and have that time added to the final kaiju fight. But within the canon of Godzilla, the pacing isn't that strange nor is the sort of...
I understand people are upset that Godzilla really plays second fiddle to Ghidorah as well, but that's been done before, notably in "King Kong" and "Mothra" vs Godzilla, both early Showa films. It makes sense the titular "Monster Zero" gets a big role in "Minus Zero" imo.
Minus Zero is really good, but it leaves you wanting a bit more from the kaiju. The human story is good, very emotional, but just a bit too much of that and not quite enough of the monsters facing off. I'd say Minus One balances the action to character drama better.
The visuals are fantastic. The audio is uncomfortably loud but the sound design and music are fantastic. The writing is mostly tight, without major holes, although some elements get repetitive. It's a top tier Godzilla movie, but still below at least Minus One and 1954 for me.
I'm not voting. I'm taking the day to make fabada for my family and watching Minus Zero later.

Outplayed and definitely outcoached. Defense rallied, Mike Bobo's offense disappeared with the lead and in big moments again. Gunner looked like he was confused or hurt. QB draw was an unforgiveably stupid playcall. Good win for Auburn and credit to them.
