It's just a cute hibernoma (lipoma of brown fat); a colleague was worried about it because of the rich vascularity. Brown fat is similarly chock full of little capillaries.

A colonic epithelioid schwannoma (these lesions have been reported using several terms). Note the intranuclear cytoplasmic invaginations (arrows).

Check out this succinate dehydrogenase deficient gastrointestinal stromal tumor! This one had the classic plexiform pattern. The usual risk assessment schemes do not apply to these!

Gulp. Thank goodness for years as a (bad) cytopathologist; the sample, labeled "mass adjacent to the trachea", was concerning for chondrosarcoma. Mercifully, tyrosine crystals suggested parotid pleomorphic adenoma. The immunohistochemical results were reassuring; S100 also +.

A lovely example of colonic granular cell tumor. These are more common in the right colon than elsewhere in the colon.

Pyloric gland adenoma in uninflamed gastric body. There is an association with autoimmune gastritis (pyloric metaplasia progressing to pyloric adenoma) but this patient does not have it. Note the appearance of the surface of the adenoma versus the adjoining foveolar epithelium.

Needle biopsy of a gastric glomus tumor; in this location, a neuroendocrine (carcinoid) tumor would be considered.
These lesions sport various molecular alterations, but immunohistochemistry can confirm the diagnosis.
