#SHR2024 was fortunate to host such talented researchers and their extraordinary science. We appreciate you sharing, @UMNCancer !
MCC's Dr. Carol Lange snapped these photos at UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center at the first International Conference on Steroid Hormones and Receptors (SHR 2024), a forum to discuss state-of-the-art advances in steroid hormone action in medicine! More info: ow.ly/wbSe50TMYxE
Fanning lab had a great showing at the international conference on steroid hormones and receptors! It was a fantastic meeting and I hope that @TheEndoSociety continues these new boutique conferences!

#SHR2024 has concluded (bit.ly/4bzOGn0)! Our President-Elect Carol A. Lange, PhD, shared how “This meeting brought together a broad sampling of cutting-edge nuclear receptor science, scientists, and their mentees in training. The success demonstrates vibrancy in our field. Feedback has been extremely positive for this premier basic science conference. Meetings like this energize the field, bring new and old collaborators together, and stimulate the exchange of new ideas.”

Day 2 #SHR2024. Steroid receptor structure and function. New therapeutic approaches on our way to better, more effective treatments, SR-SR interactions (these things aggregate!) and new PPARg inverse agonists - not SR but NR means you have to talk far from the podium.

🎯 Point-mutations in Androgen Receptor (AR) are linked to Prostate Cancer & Resistance to Antiandrogens. AlphaFold does not predict their structure thus is key to solve experimental structures. Mutations may remodel docking sites of PTM enzymes dysregulating AR⚡️
