At the reception of the auxiliary board of @LurieCancer immediately after they presented awards to Shira Dinner for innovative clinical trial and Adam Lin for preclinical research @LurieCancer. We are grateful for their support.
There are so many people to thank. I can’t thank the program officer enough for her support and encouragement. My mentors: @dhkim0405 & @ligordon, who still believed that it would get funded even when I lost all hope.
Special thanks to @LeonidasPlatan1 and @LurieCancer support when I started in 2021. Thanks to the amazing foundations that supported my work so I could get to this point in my career @ASH_hematology (RTAF), @lymphoma (Postdoc Grant), @CancerRF (YIA).
Of course, when it rains, it pours. Thanks to @cdmrp for funding my Idea Award, which, funny enough, had the NOA sent the same week as the K08. Additionally, I am forever grateful for the support of my wife and kids as I continue down this long journey.
In an unexpected turn. I received @NCI K08 NOA. It has been a long journey. I remember being eager to learn how others coped with the wait, so I'd love to share my timeline. #PERSISTENCE #physicanscientist

Gratifying to see a trial that I started writing as a 2nd year fellow changing the lives of our patients with #lymphoma! A huge thanks to everyone @NCICCR_Lymphoma at @theNCI and the many others involved in this momentous accomplishment!!!
In a phase 1b–2 study, a five-agent treatment aimed at tumor survival pathways in relapsed and refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma was associated with a complete response in 38% of the patients. Read the full study results: nej.md/3xyDZSC

In the context of medicine, we get caught up on what we say and do for patients while forgetting to check in on how they feel. More important, how WE make them feel. This is especially important when trying to motivate for change.
