During the flash flooding that occurred during the early 2000s, one family's home broke apart and the walls fell down and started to be carried down the watershed to the raging flooded river below.
One of those walls contained the portraits of the Kims.
The father of the family jumped into the raging river not to save anyone else who fell in. He jumped into that river to save the portraits of the two (at the time) Kims.
You read that correctly. DPRK newspapers lauded this man who jumped in to save these photos.
And speaking of newspapers, in North Korea it is illegal -- ILLEGAL-- to bend even a photo image of any of the three Kims in a throwaway newspaper. You can dispose of the newspaper, but you can't bend the photo of the Kims within.
Also in the same bout of flooding and nonstop rains, a housewife noticed to her absolute horror that the roof sprung a leak right above the the portraits of the Kims and damaged the portrait of the elder Kim.
She took the portrait to her block leader who excoriated the housewife for allowing such damage to occur to a portrait of the Kim. It was only after embarrassing and verbally abusing this woman was she allowed a replacement portrait to be placed in the frame.
This game is, at the very least, accurate in this regard.

Since Fr. Ripperger was silenced, we have a moral obligation to help spread his message.
Here, Shawn asks, “What about the Third Temple?” Fr. Ripperger explains that, according to the Church Fathers, the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem will never be rebuilt. He gives three reasons:
Julian the Apostate attempted to rebuild the Temple, but the effort was thwarted.
Christ brought the Jewish sacrificial system to its fulfillment. Fr. Ripperger explains that the sacrifices prefigured Christ and that God gave the Jewish people one generation to convert.
The Levitical priesthood was disrupted, making it impossible to establish the original priestly system as it existed under the Old Covenant.
He also argues that some Protestants misinterpret the Book of Daniel’s “abomination of desolation.” Some even want to help rebuild the Temple so that the Antichrist can take his seat there and Christ will return.
Fr. Ripperger considers this a serious mistake: “Just getting through the years of the Antichrist is going to be brutal, so I wouldn’t be pushing that.”
Fr. Ripperger was VERY effective in spreading the Catholic faith and challenging these interpretations. That is precisely why his message deserves to be heard, not silenced.
