This is horrible. I had one done, & my female OB used local anesthesia, but when they put that laser up there to cut, I felt it. 😭 I jumped so violently that she stopped the procedure and scheduled an in-patient one w/anesthesia. They put me all the way to sleep for it.
i had a biopsy of my cervix taken without numbing medicine because most male doctors believe women have no pain receptors in their cervix and let me fkn tell u somethin

That’s the only time I’ve ever had a tube down my throat. The pain of feeling a laser cut through your internal organ is…AWFUL IS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH DESCRIPTOR.

Yes, their hugs are normal. My mom wasn’t very affectionate when I was young, so I was not...except w/my kids. My daughter is SUPER affectionate, & I think it’s bc I nursed her for 2 yrs as a SAHM & hugged/kissed my kids a lot. My 12yo will reach for my hand no matter what.
Do yall kids hug yall ? No one hugged me when i was a kid so i be looking at my kids like they trippin they hug me like every other hour is that normal ? It feels awkward. I don’t dislike it i just don’t know what to make of it I’m not used to affection from family

My son never rejected hugs as he got older, but I stopped hugging him as much in anticipation of him not wanting it. Then, one day he asked me why I hug Laila but not him. I said, “I assumed you didn’t want your mom’s hugs anymore,” and he said, “UH YEAH, I want hugs too!” 😂

So I apologized for the assumption, and now he gets hugs and kisses on the cheek just like his little sister does. LOL Even as a college student…whenever we part, both kids say, “I love you,” and I say it back. You just gotta teach yourself a new way of being.

This shows a modern paraphrased version of Holly Butcher's letter, not the original. She left real life advice before dying of Ewing's sarcoma on Jan. 4, 2018; family posted it on her Facebook. The photo is hers. facebook.com/hollybutcher90… abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/aust…

When the birds were flying south for winter, they pooped on the front of my house. It grossed me out so bad that asked my BF to hire someone to pressure wash the whole exterior. 😂 It was like two pieces of bird poop, but IDC. The outside is pristine now. $250 well spent LOL

I’ve learned this, and I truly do not understand why. What are you gaining by lying about how you live? 😂 I cannot make it make sense.
Save yourself some trouble on here and just ignore money topics. People (not just on twitter) just lie a lot when it comes to finances. It’s layered on the reasons why but when it comes to what people earn, spend, save, invest, etc….they just lie a lot.

if you’re a creative in *any* capacity (& i’m of the opinion pretty much every woman is a creative lol) you should be writing down or somehow documenting every single idea you have. doesn’t matter how small/silly/irrelevant/out of reach it seems right now. if you have it, keep it

Called my son bc I hadn’t heard from him since Wednesday. He usually texts every day. He says, “Don’t you have my location?” Boy, I am not tracking a grown ass man like that! Let me know you’re alive! Ironically, I say the same thing to my BF, &he responds the way I do. 😂

These were basically my hours when I was a deputy superintendent. 🤣 I honestly didn’t even blink twice reading the job description. If I were younger and didn’t have children, I’d absolutely apply. Perfect role to stack a ton of transferable skills.
I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff. You won’t know every field I work in. What matters is how quickly you learn, the questions you ask, and whether you can think from first principles. You’ll help evaluate opportunities and work with founders building consequential companies. Technical background preferred. Three-year commitment. Menlo Park, in person. I don’t do that these days, but for a good chunk of my career, I worked A LOT. It has started paying off for me in the last few years.

“So now everyone is [justifiably angry] about [an upsetting circumstance] but ain’t have nothing to say about [a whole different circumstance] when folks was [also justifiably angry]” — every fucking moron on this app, every single time critical thinking is required.

“insults at me that didnt align with the person i am.” That’s the problem with men, they think their perception of who they are is infallible. As long as they think they’re good people, then they are.
