Testing an Active Inference agent in a 3D drone navigation task — it infers its own position and velocity from noisy observations, and selects actions by rolling out belief-based trajectories and minimizing expected free energy.

🚨 Funded PhD Opportunity: Neurophysiology of GABAergic Modulation.
University of Exeter | In collaboration with GABA Labs & Prof. David Nutt
We’re offering a fully funded PhD to investigate how GABAergic interventions—like nonalcoholic functional drinks—alter brain activity...
🧠 You’ll tackle questions such as:
How do GABA-based drinks compare to alcohol in modulating neural and behavioural states?
Can we identify biomarkers of response or cognitive enhancement?

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is not just “severe" Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS).
It affects 3–8% of women, leading to debilitating mood, cognitive, and physical symptoms due to altered neurosteroid sensitivity (Eisenlohr-Moul et al., 2017).
Here’s how neurosteroids impact PMDD & what every clinician needs to know. 🧵👇

Clinical trials reveal that some antidepressants are over 100% more effective than placebo, while others barely outperform it.
The largest meta-analysis (Cipriani et al., 2018) compared 21 antidepressants in 116,477 patients, revealing striking differences in efficacy and tolerability.
Here’s what the study shows 🧵👇
