What a bloodbath. I can't believe they flipped *Texas*. I'm skeptical there will be any earnest soul searching, but people are clearly sick of the corruption, the inflation, the war, the abuse of power, the memes/propaganda, and the incompetence.

Some Mavs fans never left. Some walked away. Others are just now coming back. Others are debating.
After everything that happened, I get it.
I wrote about having that joy back, the past 12 months & not missing this next chapter of Mavs basketball 👇🏼
Outlook: This email is a promotion.
Me: No it's not.
O: Yes it is. See the badge?
M: The badge is wrong. Not a promotion.
O: I think I'd know.
M: I *literally* know this person.
O: Yeah a promotion person.
M: Delete the badge.
O: No.
M: What?
O: Impossible.
M: You're the worst.
This from @TheAlanNoble is good. I also want these things. But the only way I know to ask for them is with my money (of which I have a limited amount). I've cancelled my subscription unless/until I'm convinced this is also what CT wants for itself.
The full substack is here and worth reading, btw: open.substack.com/pub/oalann…
Influencers on here using fear-mongering and scare tactics as rhetorical and motivational devices, but also guilt-tripping people for true crime podcasts or horror movies because the Bible says "do not be afraid."
It's wild out here, y'all.
As someone who is familiar with the Mental Status Exam, I cannot emphasize enough how totally BONKERS it is to brag about passing it like this:

Didn’t think I could be surprised any more. But I gotta say, it took me a second to accept this was real.

When the church looks like Jesus Christ, those who are oppressed, afflicted, and maligned within the walls of their own homes will find a refuge in the body of Christ.
This is an easy prediction to make. (And we have already seen this start to play out.)
There will be no repentance or apology from Heath or the ACBC. We will get more of this argument they keep rolling out. Here it was 2 years ago. Still has arrogant as it is absurd.
Replying to @DrAaronNew
Cards on the table: I think this article is directly related to the ongoing controversy of how Heath has been treating other biblical counselors. He mentions it in his first paragraph.
New lows for @HeathLambert and @acbc. They should be ashamed and they should repent of this.
Replying to @HeathLambert
@HeathLambert at @acbc annual conference. “The clinically informed biblical counselor is like a mistress informed marriage.” The husband is saying his wife is not enough; so, the clinically informed biblical counselor is dissatisfied with God’s revelation.
"A person with a reputation for explosive rhetoric, courting controversy, and blunt overstatement deserves a suspicious ear." I know a guy who said this. I wonder if @HeathLambert remembers.
