Is there a prediction market for MAHA success in Q1 2027?
History says post-midterm agendas go into overdrive - and I know this to be true from my work at HHS during 45. I'd take the over. Some reasons why:
Chronic disease doesn't start at 50. It starts at 10 - on the couch, with a screen, chips, and an energy drink.
The cheapest prevention program in America is a ball, a field, and a volunteer coach. MAHA starts in the backyard and on the field.
5. Track what happens. The plan reportedly requires compounders to report side effects. That's how you protect patients and build the evidence base for broader approval later.
6. Access, quality, and data, together. That's MAHA at its best: more options for patients, grounded in safety. Credit to @SecKennedy for pushing it forward.
4. Plan for personalized peptides. Tailoring a peptide to one patient is promising, but policy has to keep up: a real prescriber-patient relationship, clear limits on how far a formula can stray from studied compounds, and outcomes tracked one patient at a time.
Quick thoughts on peptide policy, and why I'm optimistic.
HHS's interim access plan is under White House review this week. Done right, it's one of the most hopeful health policy moves of the year.

2. Be clear about what's covered. A defined list with criteria based on safety history and evidence beats case-by-case confusion. Pharmacists and patients need to know what's allowed before they act.
1. Bringing it into the light. Patients are stuck between a gray market and no access. A clear federal pathway moves peptides to licensed doctors and pharmacies, where products are tracked and accountable.
Parents please watch this and share with others. Sextortion is one of the fastest-growing threats facing teens in America.

American kids are dying by s*icide after being sextorted.
Sextortion is one of the fastest-growing threats facing teens in America, and most parents have no idea how it works.
1 in 5 teens say they’ve experienced it, and about 77% never told their parents.
Predators depend on that silence. You can break it.
Talk with your son or daughter tonight and make sure they know they can always come to you, no matter what. Try saying: “If this ever happens, come to me. No matter what you’ve sent or what anyone threatens, please tell me. We will get through this together.”

Hot take: the most important health policy conversation in America might be youth sports.
Fewer screens, more sweat, coaches who care. MAHA isn't just about what's on the plate - it's about getting kids off the couch.
If we’re talking chronic disease prevention, where better to start than youth sports.
Big day for families living with Alzheimer's - @SecKennedy and @POTUS are moving the national plan to prevention and early detection, not just managing decline.
Exactly the shift I've argued for. Earlier answers mean more good years together.

Policy priorities ebb and flow within Administrations.
One could also argue that MAHA, that gloriously hard to define electoral body / policy platform, is getting a crash course in governance and majority politics.
To those new to the game, majority control - or controlling the executive branch and legislative branches - doesn't equate to the ability to do whatever you want / at the speed you want to do it.
MAHA isn't getting "screwed", it is encountering other equally strong and entrenched factions that carry different values and priorities.
MAHA advocates need to recognize that, in order to have lasting policy influence - they need to stop "crashing-out" every time they don't get their way at pace they want to get their way.
No faction's policy platform will be wholly adopted.
I can say this though, while there is some ideological cross-over on portions of the MAHA policy platform, a good chunk of the agenda becomes extremely unlikely without the backing of POTUS & Secretary Kennedy.
