🚦Following a £30million upgrade there will be double the number of services between Plymouth and Penzance in 2019. 👏🏻 Signalling has been upgraded as well as seven level crossings to also improve safety. 🎬 Huw Edwards, programme director for Network Rail, explains more.

Hot stuff. This image was taken using a thermal imaging camera in Mauchline last Thursday, the hottest day ever recorded in Scotland. Rail temperature reads 54.2C . Rail temp can be over 20degs higher than air temp. In some cases, we need to impose speed restrictions for safety.
