Hey Everyone, The next scout thread should be up this evening (I was busy yesterday). In the meantime, check out the other threads I have done, with a brief description of how they'd fit into Glasner's system (they were written months ago)! #cpfc

I won't read the link because I can't, but if it's just this, then that is just not good enough.

I know this sounds absolutely mental, but this might have been a consideration when the board talked about Sage's future.
🚨 BREAKING: Manchester City are expected to face a HUGE points deduction that would guarantee relegation to the Championship, following guilty verdicts on the vast majority of their 115 financial charges. A further points deduction next season could keep City in the Championship for at least TWO seasons. Relegation to League Two is considered unlikely. [Daily Mail]

#MISSING Have you seen Jordan, 13? He is missing from Upper Norwood and was last seen on 17 September. He frequents Croydon, Bromley, Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth. We are growing concerned for his welfare and urge anyone with information to call 101 quoting CAD948/18OCT.

I reckon he's given Besiktas and Newcastle. Hopefully yesterday was a massive kick up the arse that everyone in the dressing room needed.
Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage is set to be given more time to turn things around despite a heavy defeat by Brighton. Palace not currently minded to make an immediate change but Sage's position remains under serious scrutiny. #CPFC @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7704165…

One big thing I think Sage could've managed a lot better is choosing a more consistent back line. Even if they're not necessarily the "best" defenders, you need familiarity in a system that heavily relies on positional awareness and timing.

Palace’s approach to recruiting a centre-back, which saw Lacroix sold in the early days of pre-season and then not replaced in the 2 months that followed, has contributed to this erratic mess. The back line needed quality and leadership. It didn’t get it. That’s a failure.

Sage actually asked him to do that, because it's part of his system.
An own goal to give us a dream start! 😍

If people are this angry about Hobbs, then you have to be equally angry at the board. They employed him and are the ones that tell him his budget.
Replying to @HLTCO
From all I’ve seen of Hobbs, he has next to no innovation in his recruitment choices, doesn’t understand our club, doesn’t understand value in transfers and doesn’t have our long-term success at the heart of his decision making at all.

Hi, I'm Steve Parish and I think it's actually fine to sell all your leaders at the back and replace them with players who have to do homework after training. I also think there is no problem doing this when bringing in a new inexperienced manager from the Uber Eats

Whoever's fault you think it all is, it's clear that this situation is untenable in this present state. I've had the feeling for a while that the board don't fancy him, and won't back him. And at the end of the day, if they don't believe it, it trickles down to everyone else.
🚨🇫🇷 Pierre Sage is under growing pressure at Crystal Palace and could become the first Premier League manager sacked this season. Palace chiefs have raised concerns about Sage’s defensive approach for several weeks and considered sacking him in September. @BobbyManzi

Two things are true at the same time: defensive recruitment was bad and Sage’s tactics leave us desperately open. The consequence is leaking chances that often lead to goals. The number of times a wide CB gets done and the middle CB is dragged wide is completely unsustainable.

I still stand by the fact that Sage isn’t the problem. Until we get some owners who put their nuts on the table and spend some money we’ll see no progress. All well and good sacking the manager, nothing will change. We won trophies yes, but we were still crap in the league. That was due to squad depth. New season, same problems, no change. Bored of it #cpfc
