The words our leaders use matter and I think it's gonna take courage right now from all of us to stop normalizing this sort of rhetoric."

BASH: There was a protester during your debate with Susan Collins. She responded by saying 'this must be a Troy Jackson supporter' and you told the senator 'shut up.' Do you regret saying that? TROY JACKSON: No. I'm not going to be talked down to by Sen. Collins. I'm not going to apologize for that, no.

FBI agents were circling Susan Collins and her operation. Then Donald Trump came back and dismantled the unit investigating. And now Susan Collins conveniently votes with him 96% of the time. Does Senator Collins think Mainers are stupid? Enough of the bull. Mainers deserve answers. Our tax dollars aren’t bargaining chips for pay-to-play schemes.

I really believe that we will look back on Minnesota and understand it as one of history’s great nonviolent resistance campaigns, the moment when the wheels truly began to come off the Trump bus
It's actually shocking how little Minnesota gets mentioned these days as we approach the midterms as the turning point of when everything started to fall apart for Trump. There's a real effort to downplay how much power everyday people can have by just taking the streets.

People say I seem angrier these days. Correct. An unnecessary war, troops are serving in awful conditions, longtime residents are being ripped from their families, and tariffs are kneecapping the economy. You unserious single-issue clowns fucked us all and accomplished nothing.

BREAKING: Iran has completely ruled out any future negotiations with the Trump administration, declaring it will wait out Donald Trump's term until January 20, 2029, per Iranian outlets and Ghalibaf advisor's post. "Trump will not reach an agreement with us. We will accompany him until his term ends," said Majid Shakeri, advisor to Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf. He posted: "The path to victory is neither fighting nor a deal — it is managing the process of neither war nor peace, up to the point of victory. Publicly confirming negotiations with the U.S. is sheer folly. The winning approach is denial, ambiguity, and strategic patience." Iran's conditions remain unchanged: $300 billion in compensation, release of frozen assets, and withdrawal of U.S. forces. Until then, the Strait stays closed.

Olive Garden's owners say that you do not have to show ID to get pasta at an Olive Garden. A guy who shits himself in public and struggles to pass basic cognitive tests says that you do. For busy restaurant-goers, it can be hard to know who to trust.

ICE has fatally shot 11 people since Donald Trump's second term began. These are not isolated incidents. They are the predictable result of a cruel, violent system. Abolish ICE.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo's family called him "El mundo entero" — the whole world. Two days ago, he was shot and killed by ICE agents on his way to work. Many of us have seen the horrifying video of him crying out in pain, and we continue to be outraged by the horrific and cruel actions of ICE under the Trump Administration. Doug and my prayers are with Lorenzo's wife, his three sons, and all those who loved and knew him. I join his son Ronaldo in calling for an immediate, independent, and transparent investigation.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo's son: I am calling for a full investigation into the events that transpired on July 7. He did not deserve to be reduced to a headline of Mexican man shot and killed by ICE. He deserved to live a quiet life as Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a husband, a father, and a job creator for dozens of men who also wanted the American dream.

REMINDER: There are now 122 days until the Nov 3 midterm. Saying this is the most important election in our lives is an understatement. This is the most important election in the life of our Republic. If MAGA wins, they will rig the 2028 election and target the freedoms of all who oppose them!

Today, no one on Earth can say that we are not fighting for Crimea or that we have forgotten about Crimea. Every day proves that Ukraine remembers every part of its land, every one of its people, and is truly fighting to ensure justice for our entire state and every integral part of it. Russia brought its war to Ukraine, starting nowhere other than Crimea, and now, with our actions – medium-range sanctions against the Russian occupier, our long-range sanctions plan, and all other forms of pressure on the aggressor – we are doing everything to force Russia to end the war and restore justice. And it is Crimea that is at the center of this policy of ensuring justice. Russia turned Crimea into a launchpad for aggressive operations against other parts of our country and against other nations. For a very long time, Russia has tried to normalize its war – to make Ukraine, all of Europe, and the world accept that its aggression supposedly cannot be stopped and that justice supposedly cannot be restored. Today, Ukraine is depriving Russia of this launchpad and drawing a line under its attempts to normalize war. And in doing so, we remember that justice for Ukraine also means justice for the Crimean Tatar people – a people forced to endure deportation and decades of oppression, a people who were able to return to their homeland, but whose home the Russians tried to steal again, a people who have preserved their vitality and remain an inseparable part of our society. Today, as we honor the blue banner with the golden tamğa – this proud flag that unites the entire Crimean Tatar people – we affirm that Ukraine is fighting for itself and all its lands, defending justice for itself and all its people – for everyone who calls Ukraine and our Crimea their home. We must stop Russian aggression. We must bring freedom back to all those who are currently in Russian captivity. We must guarantee security and a reliable peace for the entirety of our state and all our people. Qırımtatar Milliy Bayraq künü hayırlı olsun! Glory to Ukraine!

This guy is an incredibly normal Senate candidate in the Maine Democratic primary (with real experience and a real working class background) who seems to actually care about Maine and not just his ego. Consider supporting him.
I believe that I am the most qualified candidate to take on Senator Susan Collins in November and advance real change in Washington.

Democrats in Maine should rank David Costello first. He grew up working class and went on to work to improve the school system in Baltimore, as well as implementing climate change policy. Also: USAID. A really impressive resumé from a candidate who clearly cares about humanity.
