Poor game and score management cost the lions a Super Bowl appearance in 2023 season. Today was another brutal day in the game management department for the Lions. They aren’t a 1-7 team looking for wins and respect anymore.

If you’re of a certain age, you probably still believe this is what Saturday afternoons should sound like. And you’re right.
Love the uniform matchup tonight!! All that’s missing is Charlie Jones and Bob Trumpy calling the game with John Elway going up against Jim Zorn.

Lou Whitaker should be immortalized beside Alan Trammell in Cooperstown. I’m not sure any player was ever shafted worse by the writers. Sweet Lou received a paltry 2.9% of the vote and was off the ballot in one year. That’s an unfunny joke and more people need to talk about it.
If a coach says he’s spent all offseason season tweaking his defense to specifically limit “chunk” plays and then the team proceeds to be worse, should that coach be allowed to continue coaching?
Fantasy Football advice: Go pick up or trade for Jacoby Brissett, Marvin Harrison Jr, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson. This is not a drill. It’s a sure thing. You’re welcome.
I watch one of these shows (survivor). I’ve seen some episodes of The Office and Parks and Rec. the other 97 shows? Nope. But it’s from the New York Times so I’m happy not to be in sync with them.

Happy Birthday, Billy Sims!
The electric, high-steppin' #Lions running back
The Heisman Trophy winner from Oklahoma was the #1 overall pick in the 1980 NFL Draft.
• 1980 NFL Rookie of the Year
• 3 Pro Bowls
• Two-Time Second-Team All-Pro
• Lions career leader in rushing yards and touchdowns upon his retirement
@RealBillySims
Receivers running free in the secondary, holding penalty on first and goal at the one, whiffing on an easy sack on 4th and 12. Am I watching the old Lions?

If Madden and Summerall were still around to explain the end of the Western Michigan vs Michigan game
How cool would it be in life to have a double secret clock that could give you extra time when you need it?
This. They obviously need more time to come up with a believable story people will buy.
You know how in soccer when they have extra time and the extra time runs out but they let the attacking team finish their last chance before blowing the whistle? NCAA must’ve adopted the same type of thing.
Whoever dreamed up there should be one second on the clock should be fired. But the Michigan alumni will fully fund his retirement. So I guess it might’ve been worth it.
In 2001 George W Bush proposed a partial privatization plan for Social Security so you could put 10% of your SS contribution into the markets.
People rejected this.
We can now see that if it had passed, the 10% that went into the markets would have outperformed the 90% the government managed, the program would be solvent, and the average SS recipient would be receiving 2X what they currently receive.
The worst bet you’ll ever make is betting on government.
