So true @LindaGarza02 Feedback, or if you're in the mindset of 'feed-forward', always makes you stronger. The key is the receiver being in a growth mindset and knowing they are being asked to grow by someone who cares about their success.
Accountability is the most uncomfortable gift anyone will give you. Some people may hate you for it in the moment. Give it anyway. They'll thank you in the distance. Or they won't. Either way, you told the truth.

Just finished Lead…for God’s Sake! by @ToddGongwer 💪📚 The best leaders are remembered for who they help others become. Not just accomplishments. That lesson applies for coaching a team, leading a university, or building a business. What leadership book do you recommend? 🙏

I respectfully ask the NCAA tennis oversight committee to reevaluate the 10 year commitment that was made to Orlando. A decision that was essentially made behind closed doors without giving any campus sites an opportunity to bid on any of those years. I haven't met one athlete, coach, or fan that prefers this tournament be played on off campus sites.

Technically, the player has to request a MTO. The chair calls the trainer to court for evaluation and potential treatment. Chair administers timing and penalties. Then resumes plays. ITA rulebook section I.K.1 for MTOs (dual matches). Was there an injury treated?

Head official came out and said Badenhorst had to take a medical time out. Thus, Gorzny still had to serve out the game after going up 15-0 for the MTO point penalty.

I can't believe this isn't all over higher ed twitter. The AIM Committee votes May 18-22 on rewriting US accreditation. (Lower barriers for new accreditors, outcomes-based standards, peer-review elimination, intellectual diversity mandates.) kylesaunders.substack.com/p/…

The best coaches I’ve worked with never acted like they had all the answers. They stayed coachable. Reflection may be the most underrated leadership skill. New piece on what Hall of Fame coaches understand about leadership: medium.com/@ddknuth/what-hal…

I’m attending the Charitable Estate Planning Institute. Room full of healthcare & major nonprofits who understand this and see the rev opportunity in the Great Wealth Transfer. @NCAA and @NACDA administrators should reach out to me. You need to know this stuff! I can help you.

I didn’t always get planned giving right. Not because we didn’t believe in it—but because we were busy. In athletics, “later” usually means never. The shift: Don’t add more work. Go deeper in the conversations you’re already having.

The more I look at this, the more I think: The issue isn’t donor willingness. It’s how we structure the conversation. Most donors are ready for “now + later” discussions earlier than we think.

Most leaders don’t have a failure problem. They have a diagnosis problem.

When you misdiagnose failure, you solve the wrong problem. And performance doesn’t improve.

Coaching changes that. It helps leaders slow down, question assumptions, and see what’s actually happening.
