While I do have a bunch of #Riftbound QOTDs queued up, I always love having more questions. If you have any questions that you want to be featured in a QOTD, please send them my way by DMing me!
#RiftboundQOTD: I want to play <<Commander Ledros>> by killing 1 unit on the board as part of its additional cost. If I also use <<Iron Revenant>> ability to get 1 extra power, am I allowed to banish the unit I killed as part of Ledros' cost?

Brimstone’s audition video for K/DA’s new release today! He didn’t get in, but look at him go!
#RiftboundQOTD: I play <<Dockside Lock-Up>> to a battlefield and target an enemy <<Neeko Blending In>> there; it resolves. I later hold on that battlefield and trigger Dockside, playing their Neeko.
Can I choose one of my enemy's legends and add it to my legend zone?
A: Should be no, but I don’t really have good RAW support for why. While “those Legends” would imply you can pick them, you do not control (nor do you gain control) those Legends and hence they cannot be added to your zone. However, it is a bit unclear.
There is a debate on whether you can pick your own 3 legends if you registered them after playing their Neeko. Unless you have a Neeko in your own deck, I don’t believe that’s allowed as you can only register 3 extra legends if Neeko is in your deck. Nonetheless, still up for debate.
Fortiche absolutely killed it. This is just beyond visually stunning

Kitten update - Onion (buff) and Ginger (orange) completely trust us now. Just listen to their loud purrs 😭😭😭
I have a <<Riven Broken Blade>> with <<Svellsongur>> attached who currently has no Buff. I standard move her to attack a single enemy unit at a battlefield.
Is it possible for me to stun the enemy unit? Why?
A: Yes. Riven's ability would trigger twice. The 1st and 2nd choices would be made. Then they can be ordered where:
1) Riven is buffed first
2) During resolution, the Buff is spent to stun the enemy unit.
Many people have asked why the Buff is not a cost that is spent during finalization, even if it follows the CWI templating. It is because the CWI does not appear at the beginning of the effect (basically not at the first sentence) nor does it follow "you/they may" (383.3.b.). You may remember from the Unleashed FAQ with <> on why 2XP was not required to be paid on finalization.
In my opinion, I don't think this is intentional. I believe the rules has a lack of coverage for triggered abilities that involve modal choices, where the choice made is the actual effect itself.
Nonetheless, this is the status quo ruling.

Yes.
While this looks like a cost with instructions, “spend a buff”, it’s actually part of the effect of the ability, not the cost.
So you don’t need a buff to put the ability “choose one” on the chain twice. This allows you to both get and spend the buff
HAPPY RADIANCE PRE-RIFT DAY! MAY YOU BE BLESSED WITH LUCKY PULLS AND AMAZING GAMES
#RiftboundQOTD: I control both battlefields that have one <> each. I have a hidden <> at Battlefield A. In a showdown, I play <> and it resolves. On my next Priority, I play <> from facedown, declaring that I want to play the unit played from Tornado Warrior at Battlefield B.
Which <> would be empowered?
A: Namely rule (811.1.d.3.). An additional example was added that specifically references Last Caress' effect.

Battlefield B.
With the rule changes, hidden unit targeting restrictions are now worded as you must choose targets at the battlefield it was "played to". Not the battlefield where the card was hidden (played from).
#RiftboundQOTD: It's Throwback Thursday!
I attack with <> at <>. Am I able to use the 1E from Threshold to trigger Diana? What if I was defending at <> with <>?
(Yes, I know I've asked this before. There's a reason why :P)
A: Before the rule update, you needed to be a defender in order to use the 1E from Gray for Diana. Not anymore.
Additionally, 466.2.b. has clarified that "start of showdown" and "start of combat" trigger simultaneously.

430.2 Covers the new rule change, now no matter the order of both triggers, threshold will resolve and add the energy before Diana's trigger ability finalizes
Hey everyone. I made my first ever video for #Riftbound! Hooray 🥳
It is very lengthy. @SamTheHumanTCG and I talk about every change in the Core Rules as we head into Radiance. To help you digest, I have included timestamps of every talking point.
Link below! Feedback is appreciated 🥹
1) Good change to determine turn order before battlefield reveal. I think for Bo1s though, they keep the status quo. Knowing if you are OTP/OTD for sideboarding is pretty important.
2) Big fan of Predict as the most balanced option. I'll also throw out another suggestion for the go-second advantage that an extra mulligan would be neat. Maybe the devs considered that, but decided that Predict was better.
I love how they're addressing this!
