Be sure to mark your calendars ready for next week!
Children are the voices of the future.
Reading with a child for just 5 minutes a day can help to set them up with the skills needed for future success.
Let's continue to advocate for and nurture their development this #WorldChildrensDay 🌍

Shocking new findings from the @Literacy_Trust have revealed that reading enjoyment has “fallen across all ages” 📚
This is a matter of urgency.
Find out how our services promote #ReadingForPleasure and support children’s futures here 👉 doorsteplibrary.org.uk/about…
Reading enjoyment among children and young people has plummeted to its lowest level in almost two decades.
Just 1 in 3 now say they enjoy reading in their free time and even fewer are reading daily. The futures of a generation are at risk - we need urgent action now.⬇️

Here at Doorstep Library, we are grateful to have such a fabulous Board of Trustees with each member offering vast knowledge and highly applicable skills to the role.
This #TrusteesWeek, we’d like to say a big thank you to our Board for their time, energy and dedication 👏
