JUST IN: IRGC has shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Strait of Hormuz. The drone was flying over the strait and helping guide commercial vessels through the waterway. This is the 54th US MQ-9 Reaper shot down by Iran.

The possibility of a major Israel-US war with Iran appears to be growing, with unusual military activity reported across the region tonight. Dozens of Israeli fighter jets took off from Nevatim Airbase, flew through Syria and entered Iraqi airspace, where they carried out simulated attack runs. The flights have been repeated over the past several nights. Israel has previously used Iraqi airspace to launch standoff missiles at targets inside Iran. Iranian fighter jets have also entered Iraqi airspace to track potential enemy aircraft. This was not seen during the previous war.
