For the last century or more society has worshipped intelligence and technical competence while treating moral character as an afterthought. I believe this is going to come to an end with the rise of AI.
It’s kind of insane how much our culture will overlook as long as you produce economic value or whatever. A symptom of the almighty GDP number go up cult, etc.
We let high IQ excuse low character because cleverness was rare and profitable. AI very obviously destroys that excuse. Now a computer can outthink every professor, lawyer, entrepreneur, and financier on Earth in seconds. Raw intellect is no longer a reason to admire a man and ignore his moral failings.
What remains is his soul.
Thus, I predict that things like virtue, morality, and piety will be making a comeback which is one of many reasons I’m optimistic and bullish and all of my enemies are losing their minds in existential dread.

If you're single and looking, your regular life should be able to offer you ample opportunities to meet the opposite sex
If you're a woman this means don't just go to and from work, pilates, and brunch with the girls
If you're a man this means leaving the house for things other than going to your buddy's house with 5 other guys
The ways you see the opposite sex should allow for low-stakes, repeat exposure that is NOT exclusively romantic in nature
This doesn't mean you can never go to speed dating events, but it does mean those are usually a lot of pressure with rare payoff

-Run clubs
-Social dancing
-Church (specifically small groups/house churches/Bible studies)
-Co-ed rec leagues - volleyball, pickleball, kickball, etc
-Hiking groups (start or join an @ACC_National branch!)
-Virtually any volunteer work
-Crossfit (other workout classes are fine but rarely as social)
-Young professional groups (these are shockingly well-attended and repeat-attended where I live)
-Community theater or choirs
-Campaign volunteering or your local Young Republicans
-Alumni clubs
-Climbing gyms
I'm not telling you to "be best friends first!" but you do need to have a way of getting to know someone that's lower pressure and allows them to see your good side before just making a call at face value
And again: the WHOLE POINT is to not just do this to meet a partner, your life should involve some kind of socialization naturally, which is where partners come from

This is a disaster for the human race and I’ve really lost patience with the useless morons who can’t see that. An AI video chat that passes for human has no necessary legitimate applications. It will be used to scam old people out of their life savings. Lonely, mentally vulnerable people are going to form romantic attachments to people who aren’t real. Isolation will increase. Mental illness will skyrocket even more than it already has. Kids in grade school will have AI boyfriends and girlfriends. All of this will happen. And worse things we can’t even conceive at this point. People are already forming unhealthy emotional attachments to text-based LLMs. Once there’s an audio and visual component, it’s over. Millions of brains will be broken irreparably.
The benefits of this technology, whatever they are exactly, are so vastly outweighed by the societal catastrophe it will cause, and is already causing, that you can’t even measure the two categories on the same scale. But at least this is the best thing that ever happened to third world scammers. So if you’re in that community, congratulations.
