Big performance from Limerick, a very settled looking team. Clare very flat today. Poor game overall.
Very sorry to hear the sad news of Michael’s sudden passing. Hard to believe. A brilliant midfielder in his prime. may he rest in peace.

CENTENARY COMMEMORATION
On 12 October 1924, Offaly GAA won an All-Ireland final for the first time.
It was the 1923 Junior Hurling title, delayed like most inter-county Championships in the aftermath of the Troubles in Ireland.
Offaly beat Cork in a thrilling final at Croke Park by 3-04 to 3-02.
To commemorate this milestone, Offaly GAA is hosting an event on Saturday evening, 12 October - the exact centenary date - in Dooly's Hotel, Birr.
It will feature a talk on the championship and the players involved, highlighting the role this team played in enhancing the Offaly
hurling tradition which ultimately led to All-Ireland Senior Hurling glory in the 1980s.
Indeed, it could be argued that but for the loss of several key players to emigration in 1925, Senior success may have come to the Faithful County more than half a century sooner.
Entry is free, but tickets are limited and must be obtained beforehand by contacting one of the following -

Extra time in an all ireland final is absolute lunacy. both teams deserve a second day. @RTEgaa @TheSundayGame
Some display of heart from @TipperaryGAA minors. James Woodlock is a real passionate tipperary man and his team the same. hard luck on kilkenny.
