Hey @EntergyNOLA there’s supposed to be an outage in my neighborhood tomorrow for the power to grow plan. In light of Francine, are you guys still planning to turn off the power for half the day?
Anyone in the GNO area have a rec for a shop that works on classic cars? Need something more than any old shop that does collision repair.
Went to Druids last night - crowds so small felt like 2002. Half neutral ground empty, no sea of tents & double ladders, no Chads. The good old days of living 2 blocks off StC. Tonight will be 40 deep….
I keep asking if she actually lives in 91.
Ever heard of #MadisonOMalley -the Rachel Dolezol of New Orleans politics? Neither had we. So we checked her out. @LaDemos @votelandry @justice_votes
This wknd was reminiscing abt doing these Drive In shows. Seems like an absolute lifetime ago! Such good vibes for me personally to do w a skeleton crew and 3 great Nola bands for this city.

Watching Som Volt live last night confirms they are easily one of the best alt-country bands of all time. On par w everyone who came after them. And w Wilco, who had more popular success in the uncle tupelo split. Trace is a timeless record.
Anyone else notice when you’re driving into the city on I 10 that about 95% of the street lights along the edges of the interstate are dark? It feels like driving in after Katrina.
Such BS. Middle fingers in the air to the NFL.

Can’t say I’m surprised, bc its USSF we’re talking abt, but the decision to bring berhalter back is such an acceptance of mediocrity. So disappointing ahead of a home World Cup.
I am an unabashed @JasonIsbell fan and have seen him many times over the years. I love this interview and the honesty with which he speaks. Great stuff. Ready for the record in 2 days. uproxx.com/indie/jason-isbel…
Hey @BillCassidy @RepTroyCarter be advised its essentially impossible for your constituents to get a passport. The urgent travel # doesnt work, we cant get appointments and paying for express is futile. Any help?
One song this morning led to another and then another and then damn, INXS made a ton of great songs. Under-appreciated artist from the 80s/90s.
One great covering another great. This is awesome.
Cover Alert: #JackWhite put his own solo acoustic spin on the lead single from @JasonIsbell & The 400 Unit's forthcoming 'Weathervanes' album.

100%. Truly the hero’s journey. A pro’s pro.
Jalen Hurts’ Journey is a Hollywood Movie.
-1st true freshman to start at Alabama in 32 years
-Took Alabama to back to back National Championship Games
-Benched by Nick Saban for Tua Tagovialoa at halftime of his second National Title Game after first half struggles.
-Cheered on Tua and the rest of the team as Tua led them to a comeback victory.
-Didn’t transfer. Saw it through. Stayed, developed and replaced a struggling and hurt Tua in the SEC Championship Game the next year. Hurts led Alabama to a comeback victory over Georgia in the same stadium where Tua had come off the bench to replace him and lead Alabama to a National Championship.
-Transferred to Oklahoma for his last year and was a Heisman Finalist.
-Drafted to the Eagles in the 2nd round as a QB after many questioned his ability as a thrower and suggested he switch positions.
-Beat out Franchise QB Carson Wentz
-After leading the Eagles to the Playoffs in 2021, many didn’t believe he was the future in Philly.
-Then he led the Eagles to Super Bowl and was the MVP runner up this past season.
-Now he is the Highest Paid Player in NFL History.
This record was groundbreaking, like nothing I'd ever heard. A true right of passage. Absolute classic.
