In Latvia this week, I sat down with Canadian soldiers serving with Task Force Latvia and our NATO allies to discuss what they need and how industry can help. There’s a lot to be proud of in the people we have serving overseas. Their professionalism and commitment stay with you. I also came away encouraged by their willingness to share problems, engage with builders and technologists, and move quickly. That openness hasn’t always been my experience. The urgency we hear from our Prime Minister and senior military leaders seems to be taking hold on the ground. Industry has been ready to move. There’s now a real opportunity to move together and get our troops the capabilities they need.
