Good Thursday evening from the lake.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Psalm 107:1 NIV🙏
Sometimes I think we get so caught up in everything going on around us that we forget to stop and appreciate what God has already given us. We spend time thinking about what needs to be done, what went wrong, or what we're still waiting for.
But tonight, I want to focus on something that never changes. God's goodness isn't measured by how well my day went, and His love doesn't depend on whether everything in my life is going according to plan. Through the good days, the difficult ones, and everything in between, His love remains the same. And that's something worth thanking Him for.
Let’s pray:
Lord, thank You for Your goodness and the love You show us every day. Forgive us when we become so distracted by life's worries that we overlook Your blessings. Help us end this day with grateful hearts, remembering that Your love is constant and Your faithfulness never fails. Amen.🙏
Peace and grace to you.
Rest well tonight.
See you in the morning for coffee. ☕

Good Wednesday evening from the lake.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 NIV🙏
Some things are easy to put down at the end of the day. We can turn off the computer, put away the phone, take off the watch and call it a day. But the things we're carrying in our minds aren't always so easy to set aside.
I can be pretty good at taking today's worries with me into tomorrow before tomorrow even gets here. This verse reminds me that God never asked me to carry all of that. He tells me to give it to Him, and the reason is beautifully simple: because He cares for me.🙏
Let’s pray:
Lord, tonight we give You the worries we've been carrying. Help us release the things we cannot fix or control and trust them to Your care. Quiet our minds, give us peaceful rest, and remind us that whatever tomorrow brings, we won't face it without You. Amen.
Peace and grace to you.
Rest well tonight.
See you in the morning for coffee. ☕

Right now, I'm not in hurricane Isaias' projected path, but I just ate a bunch of snacks just in case. 😋

Do you find women your own age more attractive as you get older? My taste has definitely changed. The gray hair I barely noticed at 25 gets my attention now.

The new red list has already come out at Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in Modesto, CA! 😳
These 34 dogs were all added to the💉list for Wednesday 10/14 at 6:30 a.m. by the shelter. Can anyone save them? 🙏
-Out of state adoptions are possible anywhere in the U.S. via a rescue (adopter usually pays for transport).
-Fostering is free!
I will be making updates on this post in the comment section as I see them regarding if individual dogs are rescued or adopted.
*Please note that I have no association with this shelter; just sharing their photos here to help try & save their lives.

SAVE MAJOR 🐾
Major is a Belgian Malinois. A service dog.
After being struck by a car and injured, a woman unknown to Major, ran up to him, and tried to pick him up and put him in a car.
Major, scared and hurt, protected himself the only way he could, he bit her.
But he does not deserve the death penalty for that.
He has spent more than 545 days alone in a kennel at Austin's animal shelter.
No physical contact with people.
The City of Austin wants him put down.
His owner, Shane Lilly, is fighting in federal court to save his beloved service dog.
Judge David Ezra promised a ruling within 10 days of the Sept. 29 hearing.
That ruling could come any day now.
Major is still alive because a federal order is blocking the city.
Austin can drop this anytime!!!
