Arrived today!
It's a lively short story and is so dynamic in its action, glad to be able to hold it in my hands.
I got lucky receiving a big action original page too! 😍 @DogAndDagger @RumbleRaven
Dog and Dagger: Blood in the Mud is available now! Check it out!! ko-fi.com/s/44834f18dc
The test print is here! And it's looking pretty good!
The rest are being printed now and physical copies will be available 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤! See you then! 🐶🗡️
After looking at the printing specs for my comic I realized there will be some pesky extra blank pages!
So for the inside of the cover I added two of my favorite Dog and Dagger drawings. Everyone loves extra stuff! will be nice to see these printed😄
Front (and back) of the cover done! Made with pen and ink and really happy how it turned out! This book is lookin' good!
Some Cover ideas for the book! Think I'm leaning heavily towards a fallen dog... Like the third one the best! 🏹🐶
Added in another page😅(86).
Feel like we're easing more into the ending, think it works better this way!
Got some feedback that the ending felt a bit rushed!
So I added in page 84. Now there's a bit more time in between losing consciousness and awakening. S'all good!
Since I'm working with pen and paper repairing little mistakes isn't as easy as erasing and brushing things in in Photoshop.
I made a whole bunch of lines on paper and stencil it from there. Quite the roundabout way but it makes for the best looking pages!
Example of a redone panel!
In the original panel Shiba is looking pretty derpy, the new version is a lot more menacing. The way I envisioned it to be!
Another redone panel!
Sometimes I just make a dumb mistake. In the original Crag grabs the sword with his right hand, but that's the hand that got cut off in his previous fight! Oof😅
Not too happy with some panels/drawings in the comic. So I carefully traced and remade them, hoping to stick em' in the originals!
Editing analogue comics is such a hassle🥴... But I do love drawing on paper!
Adding in some typesetting!
I do like hand drawn text, but mine is a bit too sloppy for a whole comic. I did leave my own text in for when characters get "poisoned" though, just to add some extra pizzazz!
Two whole new pages for the beginning!
Thought the story started a bit too fast, which worked well to begin my adventure 3 years ago, but for the book it's nice to ease readers into it a bit. Happy with these two!
Remade page 10!
This one was just a tad messy and hard to follow, I like the new one a lot more! This will be the final one I'll be remaking, the quality has picked up enough from this point!
Redid page 9!
Mental note, I think the BOM! in the second to last panel worked better in the old version, adds more impact! Although the rest of the page was quite a mess, The new one works better imo.
