Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best. Don't think about what you want to be, but what you want to do.

Yes agree, waiting list/time should be a reflection of strained referral, rather than treatment quality.
When critics ask why Indian patients "don’t mind" 8-hour hospital queues, they mistake desperate economic calculation for cultural patience. Losing a day’s wage at a public tertiary center is a survival choice to avoid catastrophic private debt. Nobody enjoys sleeping on hospital pavement or standing six hours in the heat. But while they wait, curable cancers quietly migrate to inoperable stages. Until we build functional secondary referral networks and slash diagnostic delays, disease outcomes will be decided not by surgical skill, but by the length of the queue. #HealthEconomics #PublicHealth #Oncology #DALY

The more you help others the calmer your mind will be. You will be able to overcome misdeeds committed in relation to others. Familiarizing your mind with kindness and compassion yields peace of mind, which makes you happier and even improves your physical health.

A new 50-bed Advanced Maintenance Hemodialysis Centre has been inaugurated on 9.9.2026 by our Honourable Minister for Health at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, established with financial support from the Tamil Nadu Health System Reform Project. This new facility has the capacity to provide dialysis services to 150-180 patients per day. This centre has a modern double-stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant. Patients can avail this service under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS). #HaemoDialysis #CMVijay‌ #rgggh #madrasmedicalcollege @CMOTamilnadu @arunraajkg @NHM_TN

Excellent rearguard from @OfficialSLC. One of the few exciting test matches that stretched until "5" full days. Kudos to your team. @BCCI needs a serious review for reaching the WTC finals.

It feels out of sorts that we keep pushing for greater heights and newer things, but our core competence is in question. Timely introspection is the key.

Why are freshly passed DM/MCh doctors in India often not allowed to practice independently in corporate hospitals? Why the mandatory “2 years as Associate Consultant” in so many centres? A freshly qualified DM doctor has already completed years of MBBS + MD + 3 years of super-speciality training. Yet, after completing the highest formal qualification in the field, they are sometimes expected to spend another 2 years doing the hard clinical work of a consultant—while having limited independent OPD/IPD privileges, recognition and decision-making autonomy. Is this genuinely about patient safety and mentorship? Or has “Associate Consultant” quietly become an extension of residency? If structured mentorship is needed, absolutely. But it should have clear objectives, timelines, competencies and fair recognition. We need to ask: Are we training super-specialists, or creating a prolonged hierarchy where independent practice is delayed simply because the system allows it? #MedX #MedTwitter #DMDoctors #MCh #MedicalEducation #Healthcare #DoctorsOfIndia #GSR

Brutal comeback, @CricketAus and routed. @mstarc56 you never cease to amaze.
Well done @BCBtigers , thoroughly outplayed the Aussies. A similar performance in the second test would create history.

My literal nemesis/competitor from 11th and 12th grade(we met in coaching for NEET UG) wouldnt sit still on his bench, would interrupt the teachers, would keep joking and laughing on the last bench or jumping around, ended up in the same medschool as me (because he was/is smart). We became great friends during UG because his naughtiness didnt bother me anymore and his jokes were/are genuinely funny (coaching Vrinda was very goal oriented and did not like distractions or competitors). Cut to 6 years later, once we finished UG, he kept struggling with inner restlessness, attention deficit, impulsivity, etc. In his drop year, he met a good psychiatrist, finally got diagnosed with ADD (the signs were ALWAYS there, he was just a smart cookie), started medications, cracked NEET PG, and is on his way to wrap up MD Medicine from a reputed institute. You dont HAVE TO keep struggling. You dont HAVE TO accept defeat. (Not everyone who cannot crack NEET/JEE/UPSC has ADHD/ADD. Tread with caution)
Good grades in school/college helps kids/teens escape the scrutiny of parents and teachers. Theyre allowed to be “tardy” “naughty” as long as they get marks. As adults, the marks no longer exist, but ADHD/ADD still does. And then those same kids who are now adults hear from therapists/doctors that ADHD isnt an adult diagnoses. Dear doctor, the kid had ADHD as a CHILD too(maybe at traits level, maybe at a disorder level). and is now an ADULT. The child was simply delivering what the parent and teacher wanted(marks), and hence never came under scrutiny.
