$DUOL IS NOW NEGATIVE OVER A 5 YEAR PERIOD. In that period: - Revenue has increased 496% - Net income has increased 2,546% This is crazy.

It’s rare to find better management than $DUOL. It also has a very powerful mission as well. People scoff at the $1 trillion predictions but those two traits plus a large TAM are often what create trillion dollar companies.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California Legislature are suing to have a qualified initiative removed from the November ballot. It's called the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act. That explains why they don't want you to vote on it. @HJTA ocregister.com/2024/02/17/th…

Meet the people who think it should be easier to raise your taxes. They're trying to pressure members of the California Business Roundtable to pull their (financial) support from a November ballot measure, the Taxpayer Protection & Government Accountability Act. They want your $.

Tax payers, Medicare Recipients, Esp disabled Veterans in CA need to know Gov Newsome is moving to eliminate Medicare in CA to create a 400 Billion Dollar per-person State healthcare system. He's already passed one bill, SB 700 but now needs a waiver from CA Health & Human Services. This will be a $400 Billion dollar cost PER payer, 15% new payroll tax on all businesses and a new income-based tax on all tax payers. Please contact your State and federal Legislators and tell them you do not want the waiver. Link to find your districts legislators: sos.ca.gov/elections/who-are… Waiver and Senate Bill information: SB 770 / single payer proponents seek to eliminate all private health coverage in California and force all Californians into a new untested health system – with no ability to opt out or choose private coverage instead. Study after study shows Californians like their health coverage and Medicare, and strongly support protecting their right to choose it, and strongly support protecting the Medicare coverage seniors have earned. The waiver sought by SB 770 would redirect roughly $200 billion annually to the new single payer health system. But that system is projected to cost more than $500 billion/year. The missing $300+ billion a year would be raised by new, higher taxes on payroll, employers, and the goods and services Californians purchase." I agree that every resident in California should have access to affordable and quality health care. I agree there are changes that can be made to improve the access and cost in California. A state run, single payer health care system, will not only be disruptive and much too costly, but also take away your right to choose your medical provider and impact the quality of medical care available in California. California is already on the road of ensuring health care for all Californians and seeking a 1332 Waiver and establishing a state run health care system at the cost of over $400 billion dollars is not the answer. California’s Band-Aid Governor Gavin Newsom was Mayor of San Francisco when that once great, beautiful, destination city first started having a homeless problem. He promised the residents that he would solve that problem within ten years. The homeless problem was also exasperated by a rising illegal drug usage problem on the streets. Newsom’s response on solving the problem was not in looking at expanding housing to deal with the lack of housing or to put drug addicts into involuntary treatment for addiction as was allowed by section 11550 Health and Safety Code. His response was the Band-Aid approach which was to treat those afflicted with compassion and empathy; giving out tents for the people to sleep in while on the sidewalks of the city and to set up “safe” injection sites and issue “clean” needles to drug addicts. Now, some twenty years later, the problem has not been solved as there is a rising homeless problem and in the year 2023 nearly 700 persons died on the streets of San Francisco due to drug overdose. As Governor he has presided over an education system that produces students with less educational skills in the history of the state. Sex education is mandated even in elementary school with graphic pictures of sexual positions, both heterosexual and homosexual, and gender transitioning is supported to the extent that school authorities are forbidden to notify the parents of a child’s decision for sexual gender transition, by law that he signed. Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta are constantly posturing about needing stronger gun control, even though California has one of the most stringent gun ownership legislations in the nation. But while they both rail on about getting guns out of the hands of residents, the conveniently do not acknowledge that by law the courts can order the CA Department of Justice (while Bonta heads) to confiscate guns from persons the courts have deemed a public danger and ordered their firearms confiscated. The Calf DOJ is currently backlogged approximately 23,000 firearms ordered to be confiscated by the courts and this has been the case for nearly a decade. In other words, the office headed by AG Bonta has failed to confiscate those 23,000 firearms ordered confiscated by the courts from people the courts have ruled to be a public danger. AG Bonta has said that he will start coordinating with local law enforcement to assist in these confiscating of firearms, but talking is not doing. Calif voters over ten years ago approved a nearly 10-billion-dollar bond issue to build water storage facilities, but the Calif State Water Board, which are appointees of the governor have failed to even approve moving one shovel of dirt to begin construction of a reservoir site that has been identified for over 20 years. In October of 2022 Gov Newsom announced a budget surplus of 90-100 billion dollars and sent out tax refunds to not just taxpayers but to every resident of the state with the lowest income person getting the most “tax refund” even though many had not paid any state income tax. In March 2023, Gov Newsom announced the state now had a 25-billion-dollar budget deficit that was revised a couple months later as now being a 32-billion-dollar budget deficit, and in November 2023 announced a budget deficit of 68 billion dollars. Gov Newsom then announced plans for a bond issue to fund the construction of 10,000 beds for mental patients, saying the operating funds would come from other sources. Really, what other sources when the state has already announced a budget debt of 68 billion dollars and has bonded and other debt of approximately half trillion dollars. These do not even include the Los Angeles to San Francisco high speed rail system for which the funding is well insufficient, and unlikely to be completed within this century. Now Gov Newsom announces that the state will cover medical care and costs for illegal immigrants, never mind the 68-billion-dollar budget deficit which continues to grow every couple of months. Again, talking, posturing, not doing. Putting verbal band aids in place.

Lots of advocacy for a second Sam Francisco transit tunnel on X. Missing are any discussion of cost which could be over $40 billion, and lack of ridership.
A second Transbay Tube is currently being envisioned by the #Link21 program. In 2024, Link 21 will decide whether to propose the crossing as @SFBART or Regional Rail (@Caltrain/@CapitolCorridor) A 2nd crossing would both transform BART’s map and alleviate its biggest bottleneck

It’s getting worse: SB951 will raise the marginal rate AGAIN to 14.4% in 2024 to pay for more “progressive” pandering. How much is enough @GavinNewsom ? Why higher-income workers in California may get surprised by this tax hike in 2024 By @KathPender sfchronicle.com/california/a… – at Park City, UT

BREAKING 🚨🚨: Gavin Newsom files lawsuit against ballot measure that would make it tougher to increase taxes. With the election just a year away, the California Supreme Court will decide if a measure that received over one million valid signatures will appear on the ballot. The “Taxpayer Protection and Accountability Act” would: A. require voters to approve every new CA tax/tax increase/fee that passes in the legislature B. require local citizen-proposed tax initiatives to receive 2/3 approval Newsom constantly claims to support “democracy” but is doing everything he can to invalidate a citizen-led measure that already qualified for the ballot. He even had the audacity to call this grassroots work “illegal.”

The Dems excel at 4 things. Sure "hypocrisy, division and mass marketing to the sheep". But they're also great at increasing taxes. Just another 10% more for the Big Guy in 2024.
