Covid-19 R0 in New Jersey is 1.37 (highest in several months) and I keep seeing so many unvaccinated (AND VACCINATED!!) people come through our ED. This is not the post-vaccine world I want to be in right now 😩😩😩

Anyone else reflecting at the end of PGY1 and saying to themselves “WOW, I’ve come a long way”? It just feels so rewarding knowing how much I learned in a year! #twitteRx

No, thank you @opioidsCOBRE for this vitally important conversation. Along with funding projects like WeCan, MainStay, and BlockMMP. You are doing so much good for our community!! I look forward to our next Twitter conversation.
We are nearing the end of the hour, so we’d like to thank everyone for tuning in to #RICobre tonight to discuss #housing and #overdose with @_AlexbCollins and @RS_McNeil! Please follow us for opioid-related articles & news, and stay tuned for info about our 2nd Twitter chat!

Question from a pharmacist in the north east: Do you think pharmacy technicians should be able to vaccinate?

I’ve had conversations with pharmacists and providers in my area and there doesn’t appear to be much support for the topic... If they have to go through the same training and a qualified provider is on site, I don’t see the problem 🤷🏽‍♂️

I also mention the “north east” region because I feel like the pharmacy culture here is out of touch with reality (IMHO)

I’ve been fighting with physicians at my hospital for months to prescribe Buprenorphine for substance use disorder patients... Finally I’ll have some more legal backing hhs.gov/about/news/2021/01/1…

Of note, there are still several limitations (non-exhaustive list): - complying with cfr42 - limit of 30 patients - official guidance - implementation/education to providers and pharmacists
Big applause for John Mulaney and anyone else seeking treatment for a substance use disorder. These are trying time and sometimes we forget people are dealing with other stuff on top of the pandemic. 🙏🏻

Remember, this is a disease just like hypertension, bipolar, or depression. As a society we need to keep changing the narrative from “addict” to “person with a substance use disorder”. That among many other stigmatizing expressions. Words matter

Another brilliant video by @3blue1brown ... this time with an agent based model of Covid-19 youtu.be/gxAaO2rsdIs

I wasn't aware #johnsonandjohnson paying $572 million for misleading doctors and the general public regarding the safety of #opioid products was a good thing on #Wallstreet 🤔

For context, the state of Oklahoma was seeking $17 billion from #johnsonandjohnson and many investors were expecting the verdict to be well over $1 billion

I never knew that #Twitter had a pay structure just to use their API. It seems like a very clever way to make companies pay even more to be on this platform.
Great demonstration that shows how #AI can act in unintended ways. Unfortunately, this one will surely cost people their lives. #OpioidCrisis

What do people think of a square business card with a QR code that links to my website where my CV and all my social media links live? Would it just end up in the trash quicker due to the weird format? #TwitteRx
