Llegué a la clínica y vi la programación. Ví en la lista un nombre femenino largo y con dos apellidos. "Latina", fue lo que pensé. Me acerqué a ella, le dije buenos días en español y se sorprendió, me preguntó de donde era y empezó a tener los ojos llorosos...

Creo que siendo C1 en inglés tengo la autoridad moral para decir que ese idioma es tan jodidamente estúpido, pero TAN ESTÚPIDO que una vez lo aprendes te preguntas cómo es que a la gente le cuesta, es soso, no es organizado, ni gramaticalmente complejo. Una mierda de idioma.

I'm always amazed by the Protestant response to Catholics and Orthodox Christians honouring the Mother of God.
Imagine telling an ancient Israelite that the Ark of the Covenant is just a wooden box.
The Ark was the holiest object in Israel, the dwelling place of God's presence and the visible sign of His covenant with His people.
How much more reverence should we show to the true Ark of the Covenant?
Imagine telling King Solomon that his mother, Bathsheba, is just a woman.
As queen mother, she occupied a place of unique honour in the Davidic kingdom, sat at his right hand, and interceded before the king on behalf of the people.
How much more reverence should we show the mother of the King of Kings?
Protestants claim to be "bible believing Christians" but as time goes on, their theology is driving deeper and deeper into ancient heresies to the point where even their own Protestant reformers would condemn them.
They are iconoclasts.
