4,000+ yards in 3 straight seasons, but now has Mike McDaniel as his OC, who made a good offense with CTE Tua in Miami, so I expect this Chargers passing attack to be filled with creative ways to get Herbert's weapons open.
Harbaugh himself said, "I can't wait to see how Mike unlocks Justin Herbert", which is a big signal from a coach who built his identity off of an old school run first approach.
I think we see a lot of creativity in this offense, and McConkey in particular has a really good season. They also added a nice trio of tight ends with Gadsen, Njoku, and Kolar. And a pass game needs a run game to open it up, and 2nd-year Omarion Hampton should take another step forward with this offense.
The only issue for the Chargers is keeping their offensive line healthy. They lost basically their whole line last year due to injuries, and Herbert still threw for 4,336 yards. If you break down 3,600 over 17 games of football, Herbert needs to average just 211 yards per game to hit this number.
I think he soars over this line if his offensive line can stay even semi-healthy.

Another big game for the Padres as they come home for a big series against the Twins.
The Padres have won 7 of their last 10 games and are hanging on to the final Wild Card spot in the National League, so this is a big series for the home team.
The Padres have been playing some great baseball, and with the additions of Mize and Ray to bolster the pitching rotation, they have caught fire to make a playoff push.
The Padres won 8 of their last 9 home games before dropping 3 of their last 5 games, so this is a good get-right spot for them.
The Twins struggle on the road, losing 6 of their last 8 road games, and it won't get easier for them in San Diego.
The Padres haven't announced their starter yet, but Vasquez is projected to get the start. However, the main reason I am backing the Padres today is their offense. They have been crushing the ball, with Tatis leading the offensive charge.
I like the Padres to bounce back tonight at home.
