Hydrogen still looks like part of the answer to a lot of problems: power, heavy industry, trucks, energy security. $PLUG is one of the best-known names in it. And the stock is still far below its peak. Why? The business has lost a lot of money for years. In the first half of this year alone, the net loss was about $436M. To pay for that, the company kept selling shares. The share count is up about 130% in three years, so every rally has to carry more shares. There is progress. Revenue is growing, margins are getting better, and Plug says it used only about $28M of cash in Q3, down from about $61M in Q2. But analysts are still cautious. Last week Morgan Stanley cut its target to $1.20 from $1.65 and kept Underweight. Susquehanna went to $1.75 from $2.50 and stayed Neutral.
