Bored in the hospital so I put all my symptoms into ChatGPT & asked it to list the most likely dx’s in order. Of course, anxiety was at the top of the list. So I ran it again but as a male pt, and to absolutely no ones surprise, anxiety wasn’t even ON the list of possible dx’s 🙃

I chose to leave news because you can’t reschedule a newscast. I needed flexibility. In my new job, however, I work weird hours each day around my symptoms. Still working 8 hours or more, just might be 11-7 one day and 2-11 another. I’m more productive now than ever before. – at Knoxville, TN

Please help me make sure the next person who gets #POTS doesn’t have to wait years for that answer. Tag every doctor you know. Retweet this post. Someone out there is suffering and no one can tell that person why. @VUMChealth @VUMC_heart @Dysautonomia wpde.com/news/local/the-arti…

Oh I agree 100%. That's why PRISM is meant to be a stepping stone to getting all of this to be standard of care and covered by insurance. Step 1: build something as close to the ideal as you can get. Step 2: Study it and publish. Step 3: Someone else replicates model and studies.

1/ With a disease that is incessantly progressive like metastatic cancer, if a treatment is able to stabilize the disease and prevent further progression (not necessarily make the existing disease burden smaller or less) that is typically considered a successful treatment.

There is perception in academic neurology that neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (NOH) is a serious condition while #POTS is not, which is one of the reasons for the inequities when it comes to #PatientCare for patients with POTS vs. NOH.

Important new paper on the status of European autonomic labs. It's concerning to see that there are five-times as many neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (nOH) patients being seen than POTS patients, since we know POTS is much more common than nOH: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

#DysautonomiaAwarenessMonth may be over, but the work is not! Last month I gave a talk on autonomic dysfunction in #LongCovid & discussed our new consensus paper. As the lead author, I think it was one of the hardest things I've done: I hope it becomes a valuable guide for many.

I feel absolutely sick, horrified and disgusted about the news of Paul Pelosi. What in God's name is happening in this country?! Everyone join me and send support, love, prayers, anything you can to Speaker Pelosi, her husband and the entire Pelosi family.

Abortion rights are disability rights. Many of us with #EDS and other chronic diseases, like @DocZing, can’t physically handle carrying a child to term. An accidental pregnancy — which can happen even with precautions — would be catastrophic. #neisvoid #scotus #disabilitytwitter
Obligatory Roe v Wade post. #prochoice and these are my raw personal thoughts. Adam and I are so sad about this #scotus. Grateful to live in Maryland for now. Sending 💕

One conspicious symptom of #MECFS remains unexplained: the swelling of cervical lymph nodes (CLN), esp. during crashes. Could this relate to *neuroinflammation*? Quite possible. It is now recognized that the cerebrospinal fluid drains into the deep CLN:
