Minnesota families like mine didn’t leave public schools because we wanted to pay tuition. We left because of declining academics, ideological overreach, and serious safety concerns, concerns echoed by every Minneapolis public school educator I’ve spoken with over the last five years.
Now @GovTimWalz refuses to opt into a federal scholarship tax credit program that could help families afford more educational options without requiring Minnesota to allocate additional state education funding.
It’s frustrating to watch public education deteriorate under his administration, only to see him reject an opportunity to help families who no longer feel well-served by it.

This morning I unveiled my Whistleblower Protection Plan that I will sign as an executive order on my first day in office.
I was joined by members of the House Fraud Prevention Committee as we articulated the need for a real change from the top down in order to end fraud and empower state agency employees to say something if they see something.

Apparently Keith Ellison is campaigning in Rochester today. Channel 6 KAAL reached out for a statement. Here is what I gave them. What do you think the odds are that they report any of what I submitted.
My Statement:
Keith Ellison is claiming that he makes your life affordable. That is nonsense. The most widely used and respected measure of affordability is the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Keith Ellison does not control the price of a single item in the basket of goods and services that make up the CPI. And the most expensive item in almost every household budget is housing. Keith Ellison does not set your rental rate or your mortgage payment. I urge the voters in Minnesota to look at their shopping cart the next time they go to the grocery store and pick up each item and ask themselves whether Keith Ellison set the price of that item. Again, Keith Ellison’s claim that he makes your life affordable is nonsense.
Keith Ellison also claims he is a fraud fighter. That is also nonsense. KSTP did a deep dive into the fraud cases he claims to have prosecuted and found that almost no one goes to jail or ends up with a felony on their record. And on July 1st the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human services looked at the fraud unit inside Keith Ellison’s office and found that “the Unit is not effectively carrying out its statutory functions and requirements.” The Inspector General also found “that the Unit did not exercise proper fiscal control for its Federal grant.” This is astounding! The Attorney General is supposed to fight financial fraud and yet Keith Ellison is not exercising proper fiscal control of his own fraud unit.

Together, they interviewed and hired every commissioner who oversaw the fraud.

A look at the financial information of a taxpayer funded charter school in Minnesota called Lionsgate Academy shows it’s getting $33.4 million with ONLY 150 STUDENTS ENROLLED
“Graduation rate, 23%…. $34 million, they can't read or write, and their graduation rate is 23%. Why does this school exist? — What is it serving”
I looked into it and confirmed that of their over $33 million dollars in annual funding, 99% comes from taxpayers
