Ever increasingly we hear from the modern world “Live your truth.” or “Be your authentic self, find your own identity.” while the gospel tells us who our Savior is. It tells us what our identity is in our natural state, but more importantly it tells us what our identity can be in Christ.
We cannot save ourselves, we cannot live out unnatural lives contrary to God’s design while demanding justification. Cling to the Cross, seek first the kingdom of God and lean on Him rather than yourself.
Honestly… some of y’all spend far too much time having disagreements on here regarding trivial nonsense, seeing the forest for the trees while arguing with those you call “friend”.
Do better guys, please.

If you reject Paul (Gal. 1:1), you reject Christ (Acts 9:15).
If you reject Paul, you reject Peter (2 Pet. 3:15-16).
If you reject Peter, you reject Christ (Matt. 16:17-19).
How to make a short list of unbiblical statements in a few easy steps.
The thief on the cross wasn’t saved by ANY works, which is one of the primary points of that story. He had no time, no means, and no opportunities to be saved apart from the grace of God.
He was saved by the blood of the Lamb, that was being shed into the ground right next to him. That’s it.
The thief on the cross might be my favorite salvation story in the whole Bible.
• Never tithed
• Never believed in “once saved always saved”
• Showed Scriptures to be obsolete
• Confessed to the only priest available
• Submitted to Christ’s Kingship
• Rebuked the other Criminal
• Defended Jesus against the mob
• Zero personal relationship with Jesus
• On the spot promise to Abraham’s Bosom, then heaven in 40 days.
That man was saved by Gods grace through works.

I… wow. 😂
The stunning display of logic and reasoning in those two posts.

Bryson is indeed eerily similar to the Pharisee saying, “God, thank you that I’m not like these other sinners…” rather than the man who recognized his sincere depravity and dire need for a Savior.

There is no legitimate reason to doubt the Bible. Every prophecy has been/will be fulfilled, no man ever spoke the way Jesus did, and the Bible speaks the truth about life and death. No other religion besides biblical Christianity speaks the truth.

“Test yourselves, whether you be in the faith…” truly applies to her right now.
She should be examining herself against scripture, rather than trying to twist, distort, and otherwise mold scripture to her feelings.
That’s just… wow.

His refusal to separate from or condemn Paula White as the blatantly false, heretical teacher that she is speaks volumes as to his discernment.
He can say a lot that is true and agreeable, but if you continue to support heretics like her, that’s a problem which simply cannot be ignored.
If true, it’s amazing and thanks be to God for such an incredible gift.
However, I doubt we will see any proof behind this social media post, which in the end does more harm than good. The miracles performed by Christ and the apostles were public, rare, and served specific purposes.
People make grandiose claims today of similar kind in charismatic circles, but we never see the proof of it.
When we focus more on “miracles”, speaking in tongues, or otherwise making a spectacle of Christianity rather than the gospel, we’re focusing on the wrong things.

Actual pronunciation I think is pee-cahn, with an AH sound. Which is how I’ve always said it.
Care-uh-mel… no contest.
This guy sometimes says stuff that can be agreed with / is sound, and then wham… he says something like this.
Deceptive doctrine at its finest. Pretty sure Jesus said that the only way to the Father was through Him!

@dbrand While the tank case (for iPhone) is decent -being able to swap buttons is cool- I’ve a couple of complaints / recommendations.
One: Go back to the volume button being one piece rather than two separate buttons. It wiggles too much inside the case and can be annoying at best.
Two: Add some of the grip case material to it. I like the overall feeling in-hand of the tank case, but it’s slippery due to the material, defeating the purpose of the case. Adding some of the grip case material to the sides and / or back would be a great improvement.

Amen.
Anyone who says that “I studied the Bible and it made me convert to Catholicism/orthodody.” truly did not understand the scriptures.

It’s almost like scripture has something to say about a person like this… who could have thought?
Proverbs 18:15
The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Proverbs 15:14
The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.
