Bryson, respectfully. Let’s look carefully at what Deutoranamy 30 actually says and how the rest of Scripture handles it. Deuteronomy 30:11–14 (KJV) says the commandment is “not hidden from thee, neither is it far off… the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.” The point is that the law was clear, accessible, and understandable, not mysterious or out of reach. God was removing any excuse of ignorance. He was not claiming that fallen people would actually keep it perfectly. In fact, the Old Testament itself repeatedly says the opposite: - Ecclesiastes 7:20 “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” - 1 Kings 8:46 “for there is no man that sinneth not.” That’s why the entire sacrificial system existed. The priests had to offer continual sacrifices precisely because no one kept the law without sinning (Leviticus 4–5, 16). If perfect law-keeping were possible and required for standing with God, the sacrifices would have been unnecessary. The New Testament makes the same point even more clearly. Paul quotes Deuteronomy 30 in Romans 10, but he applies it to the gospel, the message of righteousness by faith, not to law-keeping as the way of salvation. Scripture is consistent: - “By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight” (Romans 3:20). - “A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ” (Galatians 2:16). - “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth” (Romans 10:4). Jesus kept the law perfectly on our behalf. We are saved by trusting in Him, not by our own performance. The law shows us our sin and our need for a Savior; it was never the means of earning salvation.
huh? God said keeping the law isn't difficult.

I remember this Missy. And like always, he just ignores it. Wrecked him on Romans 2 and 3. But this is typical Bryson. He gets schooled on something and then doesn't respond.

Every single time I and many others have pointed out the obvious fallacies with his “context”, he magically forgets to respond. I hate to say it, but it appears more and more that he’s simply hardened against hearing anything we say to him.
