“In the sixth, it was a barrage of punches by the champion that left Jack out on his feet…clearly defenseless, Williams implored the referee to stop it…It was a brutal display of power shots…Watch the highlight below if you're not faint of heart.”

“That is the lie all professional boxers tell themselves to stave off the fear of retirement, though it might, thanks to advances in nutrition, training and performance-enhancing drugs, also be the truth.”

Just no.
🚨 BREAKING: Anthony Joshua has confirmed that he has returned to Ben Davison for his Tyson Fury fight camp, with Peter Fury also offering advice.
“I speak to Peter Fury. He's willing to help me as well. Yeah, I'll speak to him. ... “[Peter] has given me some good ideas about our training and our approach, how I can approach this fight and where I can improve." [@RingMagazine]
👀 Peter Fury and Ben Davison both trained Fury for substantial periods of time. Fury was his nephew's lead trainer for the Wladimir Klitschko fight while Davison coached him for his comeback and the first Deontay Wilder contest.

“I had to collect that $2 for winning or go hungry. I had one fight when I was knocked down 11 times before I got up to win. I had to get up. I was a hungry fighter. When you haven’t eaten for two days, you’ll understand.”

Ever the sceptic, but nothing from Fury? Also, how many announcements have there been and which is the real one? Feel a Substack piece coming on…
The is boxing broken piece will be a two-parter, starting tomorrow. Some cracking feedback. Thank you.
Journalism at its utter finest - I could have quoted every single sentence of this article 👏🏽

Haven’t been on Boxing Scene for months + a quick 2-minute scan immediately tells me why. Majority now appears to be short articles of information I can find out from a tweet. Next to no long-form, in-depth pieces…such a shame.
“Serious questions are being asked of the Ricky Hatton Foundation, the ‘charity’ (not registered as a charity as yet and currently a Limited Company as per Companies House)…”
