On this day, seven young women stood on this podium.
But this isn't just our memory.
It's yours, too.
Maybe you watched from your living room.
Maybe you were a young gymnast glued to the TV.
Maybe you remember exactly where you were when Team USA won its first women's team gold medal.
I'd love to hear your story.
Where were you on July 23, 1996?
I ❤️ THIS! Who’s getting excited for @LA28? 🙋🏻♀️

Thank you to everyone who still remembers my beam mount after all these years. That skill was a piece of my soul, and knowing it still resonates means
everything to me. parade.com/entertainment/dom…
Even though @gymnastics hasn't chosen to name the skill after me, your memories, your kindness, and the way you've kept that mount alive have given it a legacy far beyond any official title.

Some people remember a single lesson.
I'm grateful to have grown up around years of them.
Long before I understood what it meant to pursue excellence, I was surrounded by people who lived it every day.
Before I ever met Muhammad Ali, he reminded the world that true strength often looks like quiet courage.
Every young athlete dreams of seeing their face on a Wheaties box.
I never imagined it would happen at fourteen.
Standing alongside athletes I had admired my whole life was surreal.
Brooke graciously invited me to watch Andre Agassi compete, and somehow made a nervous fourteen-year-old gymnast feel completely at ease.
Everyone remembers how tall Shaq was.
I remember how kind he was.
Years later, seeing him again in Cleveland, that same kindness was still there.
