I’d call it a “Klubbheads performance”…
Kickin' hard from the back to the front,
Front to the back, Klubbheads in the house, Causin' a heart attack.
😂🤣😂

The State is my spiritual home. Gorgeous building. Great club. Lazers! Thanks to @DjLeeButler for reminding people once again what an insane setting for club this is.

Friday Support #Recovery #Addiction - The power of change
This coming March will be 10 years for me completely FREE from any alcohol / drugs and theres not a single day that i don't practise gratitude for my recovery because its THE most special thing i have ever done.
I chat daily to ppl about addiction / recovery and i am so passionate to break the stigma that comes with the word 'addict'
Addiction doesn't discriminate - the very best most loving person can develop an addiction which can totally change their behaviour!
That was me! In this picture my life was consumed with drinking and using drugs , i was losing all the things i loved and as much as i tried to stop ....I couldn't.
What was once 'social' became utter torture and incredibly anti social .. Paranoid misery, smashing trust and losing all the things i loved. Yet i still couldn't stop! I absolutely hated myself!
I was in and out of recovery services but my addiction convinced me that if i stopped drinking/using then i would have no social life, no mates, no personality, would be stuck in the house bored and couldn't go anywhere!
Thing is that was what my life was like in addiction ...
So made a final decision to change - to put my recovery 1st and to work hard at my recovery
Its still to this day THE best decision i have ever made
Please if your struggling, the fun has stopped yet you cant stop ... Then reach out to a support network because its very hard on your own
Life truly starts when you stop!

My Friday nights used to be horrendous. High by lunchtime, drunk by 7, up all night. Weekend ruined.
Now, sat on sofa with dog just chilling, reading. Not tempted by drink or drugs at all.
You can change & beat addiction! Please believe it

It’s funny how now I literally never ever ever hear from the beast. Making the big plan to never drink or use again TORMENTS it, it was wild & angry at first but now it’s complete silence. It’s dead. 6 years in February, I’ll never go back, I love my life & health too much now.

If you had to pick just ONE!
In the 90s we had THE best rave scene and nightclubs for sure! The State - Quadrant Park - Cream at Nation - Club 051 - Garlands - Society - The Paradox - BuzzClub - Sunrise - Rios - The Garage - Fallows - Pleasure Rooms - The Conti - The Grafton - Secrets - Pickwicks .... The list could go on and on!!
Maybe it was outside Liverpool ? Mr Smiths in Warrington - Hacienda in Manchester - Shellys in Stoke???
Is there another you would choose?
Hit me with your answers ...
This sat 24th Oct we get a chance to rave inside the original State Ballrooms - Info on my website leebutler.co.uk
