🚨 D2C Performance Marketeer needed in Mumbai 🚨
If you are or know someone who is great at D2C performance marketing (Meta + GA) then do reach out to me in DMs. We are looking to add another one to our Mumbai team.
2+ years of prior experience required and content strategy will be treated as a plus.
Apply only if you can work under pressure, can keep up with deadlines and love to play some sport.
Some notes on VDHM -
1. The changed route is much better than the regular route. I hope they keep this route going forward.
2. There should be “photography zones”. I think all of us have faced people mindlessly crossing over the moment they spot a photographer. A zone could give everyone a heads up.
3. Crowding: with increase in number of participants , corrals should be followed to the T. So much manoeuvring to get past runners, hitting breaks every 50m in the first couple of Ks takes a toll.
4. I have never consumed post run refreshments so can’t speak for that but orange popsicle at the finish today was a nice touch.
5. The towel is softer this time 😅
6. Parking stickers - i reached scope parking at 4:55 only to be told the parking was full. Not sure how they decide on number of stickers vs parking slots. Maybe, something to look into.
VDHM is done. Slightly disappointed. Chip time is 1:50:21. Yesterday night I decided to race it instead of keeping it a training run before Goa. The plan was sub 1:50. I thought I had it in the bag as apple watch timings were coming in for a faster finish. But took all the turns from the outside adding distance. 1:48:24 on strava but the real time was 2 mins short. Tried making it up in the last 2.1k when i saw the distance left signages but couldn’t make it up. Next time.
Got caught breaking a traffic rule. (Kids, don’t break traffic rules)
Police - gym kar ke aa rahe
Me - nahi bhag ke a rahi hun
Police - kitna
Me - 5k
Police - bus?!
Me - ji
Police - marathon thi
Me - nahi, kal hai race
Police - kitna

Police to the other police - 21 bhagna hai kal
Police to me - jao
😂😂
Observe this when you watch interviews of common people these days.
You’ll see people with opposing views making their arguments without belittling each other. They’ll have their chai together and go back to work. They might vote for different parties, but they are tolerant of a different choice. You’ll see them smiling & laughing together while discussing the issue at a chai tapri. Not abusing or calling for lynching of each other.
This “my way or the highway” attitude is mostly on social media & with “YouTubers with a mic & a card”. Social media doesn’t even represent 5% of the electorate in any meaningful sense.
Don’t mistake the loudest voices on your timeline for the mood of an entire country.
Keep that in mind when you try to make sense of where we are today.
