LeBron fans love to dismiss anyone who doesn’t consider him the GOAT as a “hater” or accuse them of simply hating LeBron. I’ve never understood that. Few fanbases are more disrespectful of the great players who came before. By the same logic, you could say they “hate” Kobe, Jordan, Magic, Bird, or basically anyone whose greatness complicates LeBron’s GOAT case. Reducing every disagreement to “hate” is intellectually lazy. It’s an escape hatch… a way to avoid engaging with arguments that might actually be difficult to answer.
