Listen to and address our concerns around water usage and pollution, power usage, blackouts, noise pollution, light pollution. And these magical "jobs all over the place" - my ass. How many jobs does an average size data center provide DIRECTLY TO THE COMMUNITY IT SITS IN? Not contract workers that come and go. Not remote work computer engineering PHDs that generate tax revenue on paper. Jobs that go to the coal miner living down the road that has been laid off? How many? Tell us. Hell, at least give us a good faith effort. Until then, shove it. We're not buying it. History tells us that when the government has to resort to forcing compliance, it's not in our best interest and they have something to hide. Call us backwards all you want. We're not stupid, assholes
