I’ve lost track of how many times Wage War has been back, but Landfall is really solid Honestly, this would have been a very logical next step following Deadweight. Took some time to get there, but it seems like they finally found their identity with the swamp aesthetic

What if I said the albums that shaped me weren’t any deep cuts, but the gateway albums that introduced me to new styles

My dad introduced me to classic rock as a kid through Led Zeppelin. Loved the guitar work and actually referred to them as “the band with the cool guitars” before I knew their name. Master of Puppets was the first CD I owned. Modern bands like A7X and Slipknot opened the doors to more aggressive genres of metal and from there I found the alternative stuff that I can’t seem to shut up about. Also, shoutout RTJ3 for showing a metal guy how exciting rap can be. Maybe one of the most significant albums here because it introduced me to an entire new genre

Imagine listening to the new Falling In Reverse song and thinking it was anything other than laughably unlistenable slop

The new Slipknot song sounds like when you’re having a midlife crisis so you try to do a keg stand when visiting your kid in college but then you fall on your face because you’re not in your 20s anymore
