The truth need not careful framing to survive scrutiny. Yet we watch Mormons dance around devastating evidence, desperately reframing, qualifying, and deflecting to make their beliefs appear less absurd than the evidence exposes. They’re trained to endlessly explain away evidence.

If you are truly Christian, recognizing a false church is easy. Ironically, I have asked so many Mormon missionaries and a couple seminary teachers if they know of a single false church (like the Bible describes) and they say “well… we believe everyone has SOME truth… so… umm… well… uhh…” That’s not what I asked, Momo! Answer it or concede that it’s your church!

When Peter began to drown, did Jesus tell him to prove his worth through a pattern of good works before He would save him? “No, Peter, I need to see some change before I can do anything” lol No. Peter cried, “Lord, save me!” And Jesus immediately reached out His hand and took hold of him. Peter didn’t earn his rescue… He cried out for mercy, and Christ saved him! That is grace for the helpless! So why do Mormons not baptize unless they see the “pattern of change?” Yikes!

Joseph Smith did a terrible job of predicting the future. His prophecies failed. And a prophet whose prophecies fail has not spoken for God. This is why Scripture gives us a test for false prophets. Prophecy is not making educated guesses about the future based on current events. It is speaking the word of God. And God does not get it wrong. Deuteronomy 18:22.

If you’ve never read your Bible and stopped to ask, “How can God be absolutely sovereign over all things, yet command everyone to come to Him when ultimately, even that is in His hands?” then you haven’t gotten to the MEAT of Scripture yet. Get to it! Cmon now.

Faith isn’t an intellectual endeavor. If entry into heaven depended on our theological strength, we’d all fail. Every one of us. No, faith is a gift!
