Beim heutigen Spitzentreffen stellt Präsident Nawrocki fest, der anwesende Ministerpräsident Donald Tusk sei verantwortlich für den Staatsstreich: Illegale Suspendierungen, illegale Abriegelung und Besetzung des Gerichts usw.
Hintergrund: Ich wurde mehrfach gefragt, ob Präsident Nawrocki in Gefahr sei. Wenn das rechtsstaatliche Fundament verlassen wird, hängt das weitere Schicksal vor allem von der Bevölkerung ab. Wir sahen es bei Lockdowns und Impfpflicht, die durch die Spaziergänger beseitigt wurden.
In Polen demonstrieren derzeit Massen gegen den Staatsstreich und tragen den direkt gewählten Nawocki in ungeahnte Popularitätshöhen. Wenn Tusk nicht durchdreht, wird dem Präsidenten nichts passieren. Tusk hat verspielt. Nur Brüssel stützt ihn noch.

OPINION
After accusations of a coup and a struggle for control of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, a disturbing warning: TV Republika, citing Radio WNET, reports that the protest camp outside the building could be forcibly cleared at midnight tonight.
That warning remains unconfirmed. But if it proves accurate, the political consequences could be explosive.
Tusk’s government oversees the police through the Interior Ministry. But President Karol Nawrocki remains Supreme Commander of Poland’s armed forces
My concern is that a clearance could become a demonstration of executive power—a message to the president, the opposition and the people outside those gates that the government intends to impose its authority.
Tusk describes his actions as restoring the rule of law. His opponents accuse him of violating it. Neither claim puts anyone above scrutiny.
What would justify clearing the camp tonight? What has changed since police said earlier that they would not remove the demonstrators?
Peaceful dissent cannot be treated as an obstacle to be swept away because it embarrasses those in power.
We do not yet know what midnight will bring. But any operation must be judged by its legal basis, its necessity and its treatment of the people gathered there.
Authority is not a licence to silence opposition.
