Does Abdul need to jerk off everyone in Detroit to get their vote? Grow the fuck up. Do Obama and Kamala need to ring every doorbell to tell them it's ok to vote for AES? JFC.

On a recent Saturday afternoon, Regina Carter parked a U-Haul van in front of the Morris Houses — the Bronx public-housing project where she lives — and began unloading 55 big-screen LG TVs onto the sidewalk to hand out to her neighbors. In these parts, the 38-year-old is known as the Furniture Queen for the pop-ups she runs through her tiny nonprofit, Repurposed Life. When offices and college dorms want to get rid of their used furniture and appliances, they call her, and she collects and redistributes them for free at housing projects around the city.
At Carter’s pop-ups, it’s first come, first served. No one asks for names or poses any other questions. “We’ve had people roll up in nice vehicles and ask for things. It’s not really my place to say, ‘Oh, you rich? Why you over here looking for stuff?’” said Carter. “The point is to keep it out of the landfill.”
Carter was inspired to launch her service based on her experience growing up in the foster-care system and trying to make it on her own. The native New Yorker bounced from family to family and then to a group home. She had her first child when she was 15 and her second at 17. When she was 21, the city moved her into an apartment in the Morris Houses with her two children, but it had no furniture. “We were sleeping on the floor,” she said. Now, she estimates her organization has redistributed more than half a million pounds of materials since its official launch two years ago.

The numbers tell the story. Jews are basically as accepted in the US as any other minority group, including and especially among Democrats. In fact, Dems, Republicans and Independents are all significantly more likely to say they would not vote for a candidate they agree with if they were Muslim than if they were Jewish.
Democrats do not have an "antisemitism problem", in reality, Americans have a significant, embarrassing and increasingly Islamophobia problem.

Its hard to imagine now but in the 1990s murdering 8000 civilians was frowned upon
Breaking News: Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb general during the Balkan wars of the 1990s who was convicted in the killing of 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica, Europe’s deadliest massacre since World War II, has died. He was 83. nyti.ms/3T013o6

Hakeem Jeffries built his midterm campaign around a promise to “hold the crooks accountable” — his word for the Trump administration. He just had a secret meeting with one of them.
The meeting happened weeks ago in Manhattan, in a private space arranged by a mutual friend. Neither man would confirm it publicly. It only came out because the New York Times got five sources to talk.
What they discussed: housing, immigration, cost of living — the same issues Jeffries says the Trump administration has failed on. Kushner reportedly told him to go meet with Trump’s chief of staff too.
Meanwhile Jeffries’ own committee chairs-in-waiting are already lining up investigations into the Qatari jet and the Trump family’s crypto deals. Impeachment is still “on the table,” according to Democrats themselves.
You don’t take secret meetings with the crooks you’re about to investigate. You take them with people you’re deciding not to. #HakeemJeffries

Hakeem Jeffries is being criticized for meeting with Jared Kushner, but as a potential future Speaker of the House he has to show the kind of leadership that ensures everything stays the same and nothing gets better, so cut him some slack.
It’s like this asshole doesn’t even want to be speaker, so give @RepJeffries what he’s asking for and pick someone else.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

Weird that we’re all just ignoring Minnesota — where Bernie-backed Peggy Flanagan beat the establishment candidate by 20 points with record turnout, despite $20 million in spending against her — because it doesn’t fit the establishment narrative.

Let's be clear about what this means. It means @AIPAC will support a candidate who will almost certainly help Donald Trump try to overthrow any election that Trump and the GOP loses. It means @AIPAC prioritizes unconditional support for Israel over the survival of liberal democracy in the United States jewishcurrents.org/the-shame…

With AP & NYT calling it for El-Sayed and Shri Thanedar losing his Congressional seat to Donavan McKinney, that's 5/6 Sanders endorsees winning in Michigan, three of them DSA members. If this is not the night progressives wanted, then I guess they had wanted to lose.

It is disgusting that AIPAC - which spent tens of millions attacking Obama - is now spending like crazy to lie and suggest he endorsed Haley Stevens. It's everything wrong with politics. Support @AbdulElSayed
NEW:
Former President Barack Obama hasn’t endorsed in the contentious Democratic Senate primary in Michigan – but voters there could be forgiven for getting that impression.
