I know I bang on a lot about having a hormone imbalance, low testosterone, pre HRT but it’s so important I stress that as a defence for why waiting 8 years for hormones wasn’t as awful as it could have been.
Like I had breasts prior to HRT. It’s wild.
I know being straight isn’t anything special, but as a trans woman it’s an identity it’s taken me a while to understand.
I do love my attraction to guys. I think it’s beautiful.
Okay so my DIY HRT has been going well. Except muscle aches.
I was naturally very low T due to hormone imbalance, now I’m on spiro and E, but it seems I’m wiping out too much T.
Stuck with what to do.

8 years ago I left a note under my pillow and told them to look at it while I was elsewhere. It was easier not being there. It told everything.
They accepted. Help me change my name. They now even check that I’ve had my HRT at the right time. I’m lucky to have them.
To me growing up gender dysphoria was like an animal gnawing at my flesh but I was just too young to actually realise why I was feeling like that.
At 17 I finally understood what the feelings were and came out. Honestly transition saves lives.
I’ve got it into my head that I need to wait until my bottom surgery is done before I start dating properly.
I just feel it’d make my dating go easier. I feel like guys will be kinder to me.

So 8 years ago today, at 17 years old, I came out to my family as trans. It’s been a journey and definitely the best decision I ever made. It’s the reason I’m still here. ❤️

My trans experience is so odd. I came out as a minor, but stared HRT at 25. I pass now, but did before HRT and only for the past year. I had a hormone imbalance so masculinisation was never as full on.
There’s no other story like that so I’m lost with no one to relate to.
