Kurdish artist Zhina Ahmadi remains incommunicado after 10 days Iranian security forces arrested Kurdish artist Zhina Ahmadi, founder of Zhilamo Music House in Marivan, 10 days ago. She remains incommunicado in the quarantine section of the women's ward at Sanandaj Central Prison, without access to a lawyer or her family. hengaw.net/en/news/2026/10/a… According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces arrested Ahmadi, originally from Negel village and a resident of Marivan, at her home on Monday, October 5, 2026. She is also known by her artistic name, “Zhilamo.” Hengaw sources reported that Ahmadi has been denied access to a lawyer, telephone calls, and family visits throughout her detention. Ahmadi founded Zhilamo Music House in Marivan, which provides children with educational and artistic activities, including music, singing, painting, and cinema. Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for her arrest or any charges against her.
