The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved about $3 million in settlements related to the Sheriff's Department in August of 2026. I broke down how the funds paid out: a lieutenant DUI, a deputy accused of s*xual abuse, and more. youtube.com/shorts/ai8ubICZI…

Five people have the opportunity to stop shoveling billions in taxpayer dollars to a department that regularly costs us millions in settlements every month. 1.@HildaSolis 2.@HollyJMitchell 3.@LindseyPHorvath 4.@SupJaniceHahn 5.@kathrynbarger
The LA County Supervisors approved just under $3m in settlements stemming from LASD personnel in August. Incidents include a lieutenant driving drunk and a deputy sexually exploiting a disabled woman. New from me, free on my Patreon: patreon.com/lasdgangs/posts/…

LASD Gangs have run rampant for decades with zero accountability from the Sheriff’s Department or the DA. Thank you @HollyJMitchell for starting a process that should have completed years ago. #GoogleLASDGangs

38 deaths in 38 weeks and @LACountyBOS has still not presented a timeline to close the deadly Men’s Central Jail. The County’s decision to invest in jails is fatal and tragic —and a deliberate choice given the alternatives to incarceration.
wow, now up to 38 deaths this year in the LA County jails

Two days after the LA jails got sued by the state for, among other things, the large number of in-custody deaths this year.... LASD just posted yet another. 37 deaths in 37 weeks.

36 deaths in 35 weeks. This is the deadliest year in LA sheriffs department custody and most people who have died are pretrial. What more has to happen before @LACountyBOS finally takes the bold steps needed to close Men’s Central Jail?
Today the L.A. jails just posted their 36th in-custody death for this calendar year:

People are rotting in LA County jails because they can’t get a lawyer. Cases are being thrown out because public defenders are drowning in impossible caseloads. This isn’t an accident—it’s a system designed to starve public defense. aol.com/news/boston-judge-di…

Shame on @kathrynbarger & the COUNTY LAWYERS for their intimidation and removal of two key members of the COC. Tell her that her support of Sheriff violence does NOT go unnoticed! Call her @ 213-974-5555 and visit jlanow.org/CallBarger to see talking points #ProtecttheCOC

The decision to force out Bonner comes after several moves by the county and their lawyers to prevent the COC from DOING THEIR JOB & investigating cases of severe brutality and murders by LASD.

A Juneteenth Reminder from us—Incarcerated labor and immigrant exploitation are rooted in slavery. Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of enslaved people in Texas on June 19, 1865. California voted AGAINST abolishing slavery just 8 months ago. A thread from DPN👇🏾 (1/6)

I’m here today outside Men’s Central Jail with the mothers and family members of people who died in custody. Last year, LASD deputies met this peaceful rally with riot gear. Kids were eating lunch as deputies lined up with shields and batons. Today, I don’t see that.
