AI is useful today. The money behind the frontier is harder to read. Our new research follows the circular deals linking AI labs, chipmakers, cloud providers, and data centers. Who is paying for the AI boom? digitalmeld.io/blog/who-is-p…

That Microsoft buyout post took off way more than I expected... and the part I keep coming back to is the 24-month journey, because most of those months have very little to do with the tech. AI adoption is a people problem. People don't like change, and honestly most orgs aren't where they need to be for this yet. I've been doing Microsoft and enterprise IT for 25+ years, and at @DigitalMeld we're in the middle of these rollouts right now on M365, Azure and Power Platform. What actually eats the time: • Figuring out who owns which process, because half the time nobody does, or three people think they do • Writing down how the work really gets done today... not the SOP from 2019 that nobody follows • Agreeing on the single source of truth, and where it should live and who owns it • Getting managers comfortable with their team working differently, and with what that means for their own role • Training that's more than one lunch-and-learn and a recording nobody watches • Lots and lots of conversations. With IT, legal, HR, operations, the people whose jobs are changing... and then the same conversations again a month later Even though you know what you're doing is right, and they're better off following your guidance, you still have to win people to the cause. You have to prove that you will be making people's lives easier. All of that takes planning, time, and leaders willing to sit in the room for those conversations. Cutting a bunch of the people who'd have to do the changing doesn't make it go faster. I'm pretty sure it does the opposite. AI doesn't make AI adoption easier, it just speeds up some of the process. But the process is the process, all the same.
This is the canary in the coal mine, y'all. The AI math doesn't math. Microsoft is offering buyouts for nearly a quarter of it's workforce. AI adoption for businesses is a 24-month journey in a perfect scenario. They aren't seeing adoption fast enough to offset their CapEx spending... and they aren't alone. Add Anthropic's measly revenue numbers (compared to their CapEx), and hopefully you get the point. These aren't buyouts because Microsoft found efficiencies with AI, they are buyouts because they (the AI industry) spend trillions (collectively) building the best tools the world has ever seen, and no one knows how to use them. digitalmeld.io/blog/who-is-p…

BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg. Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible. This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

I'm happy to announce that Veritas Kanban 6.3.0 adds support for signing in with ChatGPT by linking your OpenAI identity to your existing VK account. If you’re using AI agents for work, VK gives you a place to keep track of what you’ve asked them to do. Put the work on a Kanban board, assign an agent, and keep the instructions, approvals, and results with the task. When you come back later, you can see what ran, where it stopped, and what needs your attention. You can use different agents for different tasks and set up recurring workflows. OrcaRouter support is new in this release too, giving you another option for routing work through Codex CLI. A lot of the work on 6.3.0 was making that day-to-day experience less frustrating. Moving between tasks without losing edits. Getting the board updating again after a dropped connection. Knowing whether an agent is working or waiting. Having scheduled work run when you approved it to run. There are security, storage, and Mac app fixes behind those improvements, with the details in the release notes. VK is local-first, and the signed and notarized Apple silicon app is available through Homebrew or direct download. The updated docs cover setup, including the new integrations. Check out the full release notes and download: github.com/BradGroux/veritas…

Thank you, @OpenAI, for flying me to DevDay. The sessions and people were amazing, but a 45-minute call with AVA (my Dot) on my drive home from teh airport changed how I work. Here’s what I brought home, and why removing friction matters for AI adoption.

My trip is fully set and booked for OpenAI DevDay next week in San Francisco! I'll be there Monday morning through early evening Wednesday if anyone would like to meet up. Keep track of me while I'm on the ground at where.bradgroux.com. Thanks to @OpenAI for having me!
Can't wait for DevDay next Tuesday. Some really fun stuff, but also many many things that should change the way you work. It's been our most ambitious sprint and Astra has really made new things possible in such short amounts of time.

I’ve been complaining about GPT-6 Astra, but I've been using it wrong. I was asking Eisenhower to storm the beaches of Normandy himself. Now Astra plans, delegates to 3-5 Sol threads, and reviews the work. Here’s what changed, plus three prompts to try.

Looking to onboard your credentials to Muse? Unfortunately, there is no way to bulk import credentials from iCloud Keychain or 1Password into Muse (that's by design), but you can semi-automate the process pretty quickly. Full details in the tweet below.
Replying to @jraphael10
Just tell Muse what service you need in chat and it'll pop a secure entry card, tap it, paste the key, done. The secret goes straight to the vault and never touches chat. No Mac required. The cards render right in the Muse iPhone/iPad app, OAuth connects just open the provider's sign-in page, and iCloud Keychain or 1Password autofill works inside the secure form (I do it via 1Password). iOS suggests the matching login when you tap the field, one tap fills it. Seconds per credential. Unfortunately, OS won't let any app bulk-import from Keychain (Apple only exposes it via AutoFill), and there's no zero-touch setup. Closest thing to bulk is giving Muse your list of sites so it can queue a secure card per site, and you tap through them rapid-fire with AutoFill filling each one. Each card still needs your tap, the sign-in, the consent, and the vault approval. Apple likes the Human in the Loop, apparently. I was able to go through about 30 credentials from 1-password in about 10 minutes. Hope this helps!

I kept hitting the same dumb problem: I wanted to feed YouTube videos to my AI via Codex, Muse, OpenClaw, Buzz, and every route was annoying. Paste a link and pray the agent can fetch it. Watch it burn thousands of tokens pulling the page, choking on markup, or failing outright. Or install some bloated extension full of popups, accounts, and analytics phoning home. So I built the thing I actually wanted: Minimal Transcript. Tiny Chrome extension. Open any YouTube video, click the icon, get the transcript, TXT, Markdown, SRT, or VTT, timestamps optional. One click. That's the whole product. Why it saves tokens: your agent starts from clean text instead of spending a fortune figuring out the video itself. No fetching pages, no parsing HTML soup, no hallucinating what was said. Paste transcript → ask your question → done. On a 3-hour video, that's the difference between a few thousand tokens of clean captions and tens of thousands of wasted ones. Details I sweated because they matter: • Prefers real captions over auto-generated when both exist • Strips YouTube's hidden screen-reader junk ("0 seconds", "1 minute, 5 seconds") that pollutes naive scrapes • When YouTube gates the download endpoints, it falls back to driving YouTube's own transcript panel, works whenever YouTube's panel works • Remembers your format; copy-to-clipboard if you don't even want a file • No popups, no ads, no accounts, no third-party servers. Private by design. MIT licensed. • Free, sideload in under a minute: github.com/BradGroux/youtube… If folks like it, I'll get it up on the Google and Edge extension stores soon.

After reading @pvncher’s guide, I asked Astra in Codex to audit my workspaces. I revisted approval rules, consolidated skills, and cut skill-description text by 78%. I share the changes, with prompts and code examples you can use to audit your own setup.

We love to save our clients money with AI 😃
Kimi-K3 with High Reasoning on Ollama Cloud running in Codex is fantastic at scraping your content. If you run a SaaS and you charge an arm and a leg for people to access their own data via API... your days are numbered. This is going to save our client thousands of dollars.
